In 2012, we scanned and printed 43 graduating class photos for Remus School, Remus Con-solidated School and Mecosta-Remus Consolidated School from 1925 to 1967. Many generous

individuals, families or reunion classes have “adopted” a year by contributing $36 toward the

collection on display in the Old Schools area of the Museum.

If you want to purchase your own copy of one of the photos printed on adhesive vinyl with a

peel off paper back for mounting, here is the info:

8.5" X 11" class picture - Cost is $20.

11" X 14" class picture - Cost is $25.

If you, your family or your graduating class would like to purchase a copy,

please contact Gary Cox at Phone (989) 561-2848 or by email [email protected].

Old School Photo Project Continues

The years 1944, 45, 49, 51, 54, 56, 57, 59, 60 and 62 have not yet been adopted. Adopt your class year for $36!

A spring Mecosta County Quilt Trail tour and luncheon is being planned. We also want to in-

clude high resolution photos of the new quilt boards and addresses in our updated 2016 Me-

costa County Quilt Trail brochure.

Watch for updates posted on www.remus.org or subscribe to get email notices of activities!

Forty six Quilt Blocks and counting on the Trail !

This fall go for a drive and see how many blocks you can find. You can pick up a map with descriptions and address locations at the Remus Museum, at

the Visitors and Convention Bureau in Big Rapids and at rest areas across the state. The map below shows 46 quilt blocks but additional blocks have recent-ly been installed.

Folks that wish to be added to the 2016 new trail map (buy a 4x4 $200 or 8x8

$400 board or paint your own $50) should contact Char Lenon at [email protected] or call (989) 967-8153.

Local quilters displayed their

challenge “Windmills of Life” quilt

projects at the Remus Museum during Remus Heritage Days.

These challenge quilts tell the

creators’ life stories and were on display at ArtWorks in Big Rapids

during June. Below, Kathy

Stolaruk displays her “Windmills

of Life” quilt.
