The current pandemic is having a transformational impact on the delivery of learning across the world. As a profession, we are being challenged to find new ways of ensuring that all students receive the world-class education that they deserve even when they are unable to attend school. At Bishop Barrington School we have responded by developing a strategy that will enable every student in the school to remain fully connected with their teachers and with their learning regardless of their geographical location. Remote Learning at Bishop Barrington As the school is currently only open for a small group of students, staff are providing LIVE lessons that can be accessed by pupils at home, and in school. Pupils should follow their timetable, accessing lessons through Google Classroom and Google Meets. Staff will be teaching the curriculum as they would should the school be fully open and providing feedback to the pupils throughout the lesson through the use of ‘live work’ being monitored and questions in the chat box. Pupils have been prepared to work from home by being given a ‘home learning pack’ including an exercise book, a pen and a pencil. Those pupils that don’t have access to the internet or a device have been provided with those.
