With regard to MS 87 (a) receipts:
The Mail overseer should check if • The receipt issued by the account office for a
money order matches with the MS-87 (a)• If the money order amount credited is in the BO
account• Necessary entries are made in the BO journal

In Money order paid verification:
• The mail overseer should verify– The date of receipt of the money order with BO
slip, BO JL, Postman Book– If the money order is paid without delay– If the unpaid money orders have been noted in
red ink in BO journal– If the remarks on the unpaid money orders are
justified– At least 5O money orders in the beat
The mail overseer should submit the money order paid verification statement in time.
