REMEMBRANCE DAY 2015

On Wednesday November 11, the Adelong Public School walked to the Memorial Park Cenotaph to remember those who had fallen at war. Alan Gowanloch and Norm Jones had a talk to us about war as they were two former soldiers. Alana Dierkx and another girl from St Joseph’s laid a wreath in front of the Cenotaph to show our respect for the brave men and women who had fallen in war. I presented a speech called the “Prayer of the Nation” in front of all the schools and people that attended. At eleven o’clock we had the minutes silence and the raising of the Australian Flag. After the two men said their final thanks we headed back to school.
