Party in the Park
RELOADED 2014 30th August 2014
Welcome to the essential programme to Party in The Park – RELOADED 2014
It is bursting with all information about the “Party” including all key events, details of the businesses and charities who
are supporting us, the exhibitions who will be entertaining us and a full schedule of who is and where you can find them.
As you are aware, RELOADED has been organised by volunteer fundraisers, family members of Joel Hammond, who sadly,
lost his life after a long hard battle with Leukaemia. He was only 15 years of age. Joel was diagnosed with the illness
June 3rd 2013, and he was undergoing chemotherapy treatment at our first Party in the Park event last year at Caldecott
Park.
RELOADED has been organised in his memory, as Joel was fully involved in the event planning before he passed away. He
named it, he stated what he wanted at the event, and he wanted to help raise monies for the unit who helped him
through such difficult times.
We have so many people to thank for making RELOADED possible this year: Rugby Borough Council, PRS for Music, Rugby
Group Benevolent Fund , Thornton Robson Estate Agents, Rugby FM , The Rugby Advertiser, Events UK and Tracy Hayley.
The last person we would like to offer thanks to, is YOU! We would like to thank all of YOU for supporting our Party in
the Park event, by looking through our programme, helping us advertise on social media, many, many great ideas and
most importantly, by attending RELOADED 2014 for Joel and Teenage Cancer Trust.
Thank you!
With warm wishes and high hopes for a great party … Hayley Hammond – Event Organiser
All you need to know…
RELOADED 2014 has 2 main objectives:
• To remember our brave solder – Joel Hammond
• To raise funds and awareness for Teenage Cancer Trust
Around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every
day in the UK. They need expert treatment and support from the moment they hear
the word ‘cancer.’ We’re the only charity dedicated to making this happen.
We bring young people together so they can be treated together, by teenage cancer
experts, in the best place for them.
We educate young people about cancer and work with health professionals to develop
their knowledge so we can improve the speed and quality of diagnosis.
And by funding research and working with our partners in the NHS, government and
organisations both nationally and internationally, we strive to improve survival rates.
We lead the world in the care of young people with cancer. Together with these young
people, their families and the passion of our supporters, we’re challenging the NHS and
transforming lives.

RELOADED 2014 wouldn’t be happening with you.. Exhibitors, supporters, participants, friends and
family..
Joel was a very special, brave young man.. And we miss him everyday.
There are still so many young people struggling through the same journey Joel did.. Our efforts will
hopefully ensure we help Teenage Cancer Trust grow, to help and support those children and families
through their own hard times.
RELOADED 2014 has received amazing support from many local and not so local businesses, and I
would like to say thank you to you personally.. Thank you for helping me put this event together – if
you didn’t believe in me the way you have – RELOADED 2014 wouldn’t be as great or as well known as
I hope it is already.
I do hope we all have a great day on 30th August 2014.. Lets hope the
sun shines.. And let the fun times begin..
Thank you so much, and enjoy..
Hayley x
RELOADED 2015
I would very much like RELOADED to become a family favourite – an annual event in memory of Joel.
I plan to continue to raise monies for Teenage Cancer Trust – and am looking into setting up a charity
in Joels name which also concentrates on Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
Either way, RELOADED 2015 is already underway.
Booking forms will be available on the 30th August – date & venue to be confirmed.
