2 New collection device or technology support

2.1 Accuver XCAL support

Added support for version 7 of Qualcomm log record “LTE RRC OTA message”. This support will enable Analyzer to display RRC messages from devices such as Samsung Note 3 VoLTE device.

2.2 Ascom TEMS support

Fixed a problem decoding RTP and SIP protocol messages from certain VoLTE test log files.

Added support for decoding RSSI values per EARFCN in the attribute LTE_Scan_RSSI_For_EARFCN from Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) scanner measurements of LTE.

Fixed a problem decoding certain TEMS Automatic v9 log files with an

Analyzer Pro LTE license.

Added support for decoding GPS coordinates for certain TEMS pocket log files measured indoors. Users must follow the steps below to load .tpz

files to display the positioning along with the floor plan on a map:

1) Load a .tpz file.

2) If the file contains an indoor floor plan, waypoint and .tab file information, then real latitude/longitude are set accordingly from these

files. If the .tab file is not present, the GPS positioning (i.e. latitude and longitude of four corners of the floor plan) is calculated as per the information given in map properties in the .tpz file (in most cases, it is positioned at latitude = 0 and longitude = 0).

3) If the file does not contain an indoor floor plan, waypoint information or map file properties, then latitude/longitude are set from the

messages in the .tpz file.

4) Once the .tpz file containing waypoint information and the indoor floor plan is loaded, Analyzer generates the following two new files:

C:\ProgramData\Actix\Analyzer\Floorplans\Temporary\Log_file_name.TAB

C:\ProgramData\Actix\Analyzer\Floorplans\Temporary\ Log_file_name.jpg

5) After the log-file is loaded, you may open the map to view any attribute, and view coordinate points.

6) However, to view these coordinates on a floor plan, the following steps are used to load the floor-plan on the map:

a) Click on the Layers on Map control.

b) Click the Add button.

c) Browse to the path where the new floor plan (new TAB file) is

created: C:\ProgramData\Actix\Analyzer\Floorplans\Temporary

d) Select the file to open.

e) In Layer Control, move the newly added layer down.

f) Click OK on the Layer Control Window.

7) You can now see the positioning of attributes on the floor.

2.3 Ding Li support

Added support for decoding the following attributes:

HTTP_Page_Size: shows HTTP main page size

VQUAL_AVDesyncRate: A-V DeSync Rate

App_Throughput_DL: KPI for instantaneous speed of a video

Physical_Throughput_DL

2.4 Focus Infocom support

Added support for DC-HSDPA. Attributes related to Dual Cell HSDPA (DC-HSDPA) are now decoded and displayed. They appear in the Attribute Explorer in the following path: Downlink Measurements > 3G HSDPA > Dual Cell

2.5 JDSU support

Added support for JDSU version 18.0.

2.6 Meritech Sigma-LA support

Fixed a problem with the erroneous reporting of the LTE_UE_Nbr_PCI attribute. LTE neighbour PCIs can now be correctly viewed.

2.7 Nemo support

The issue of not decoding the CELLMEAS message type containing PCI values has been resolved. The issue has resulted in missing PCIs in the displays in the earlier versions.

The issue of incorrectly displaying radio access mode and technology modes of LTE-EVDO dual mode UEs has been resolved.

Added support to view the attribute Task_Timeout for the data test types of FTP download, FTP upload, HTTP download, Web browsing, and SMTP uplink (email send). Nemo specific attributes Nemo_GPRS_Connection_Timeout and Nemo_GPRS_Security_Protocol

are also viewed.

Actix Analyzer Update February 2014 5

Added support to decode and display idle mode RRC messages from Nemo PCTEL scanner measurements.

Added support to decode and display DL throughput per code word (port) by the LTE_UE_PDSCH_Throughput_Cwd0 and LTE_UE_PDSCH_Throughput_Cwd1 attributes.

Added support to extract scanned bandwidth and set in the LTE_Scan_bandwidth_DL attribute.

The issue of Analyzer recognising a Nemo EVDO device as a UMTS device has been fixed. As a result, attributes and KPIs from such

devices can be correctly decoded and displayed in Analyzer.

Added support to correctly decode and display GSM SI Type 2quater message.

The issue of loading Nemo Handy log files has been resolved. Nemo Handy from Nokia C7 can be loaded and analyzed.

Added support to display spatial rank. The attribute LTE_UE_SpatialRank is now set to display spatial rank.

The issue of incorrect decoding of BCCH and BSIC values from log files of version 2.15 or later has been fixed.

2.8 Rohde and Schwarz support

Added support for versions 4.75 and 4.76 for R&S.

Added support for IP_TRACER and for .dts and .tcp side files.

2.9 Swissqual support

Added support for version 13.1.1.

2.10 IP support

Added support for displaying SIP event results in VoIP calls. Whether SIP events such as INVITE, PRACK, BYE and ACK messages are succeeded or failed can be seen in the Attribute Explorer in the path Internet > SIP > Event data

Added support to decode and display SIP signalling reasons such as protocol and cause. They can be extracted with the

SIP_Reason_Protocol, SIP_Reason_Protocol_Cause and SIP_Reason_Text attributes.

2.11 Generic

The issue of erroneously pegging UMTS calls as drops in LTE-UMTS dual mode operation has been fixed. The issue has not been very prevalent.

A less frequent case of Analyzer not detecting Circuit Switched Fall Back (CSFB) attempts in UMTS mode has been resolved.

3 Application layer improvements

3.1 Spotlight

KPI DSA has been updated to support LTE-Advanced.

Improved diagnostic report for VoLTE call set failures and drops.

Added a new drilldown screen layout for Circuit Switched Fall Back (CSFB) calls. Drilldown analysis will display UMTS radio conditions around the time of a call failure.

4 Platform improvements

A script error has been resolved in Delta Plot for when adding a new technology.
