Reiser Relief Inc. is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 corporation founded by Father Bernard Reiser who has been involved with Haiti outreach programs for over 13 years. Run entirely by volunteers, Reiser Relief is based

in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. The major goal of its mission is to help the impoverished people of the Caribbean country of Haiti, the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.

The social and environmental problems are the greatest challenges the people of Haiti are facing today. In the midst of these problems, we are compelled to provide essential services to aid in day-to-day survival. The services Reiser Relief provides include: fresh water, food centers, education, and eldercare facilities. Many projects are in or near Cité Soleil; the suburb of the Haitian capital of Port-au-Prince. Reiser Relief provides assistance focused on the basic necessities of life: Water, Food, and Education.

The number one cause for illness in Cité Soleil is the lack of clean water. The desperately poor people cannot afford to purchase the water on their own. Reiser Relief’s water delivery program obtains fresh water from deep wells then trucks it to many neighborhoods in Cité Soleil. The local people carry their life-saving water back to their homes in 5-gallon buckets. After the devastating earthquake in January, 2010, the truck also began deliveries to tent cities, clinics and orphanages. Without the water that Reiser Relief supplies, people cannot survive! The water truck operates six days a week reaching untold families in need. We live among abundance. The Haitians live in extreme poverty. With your help, Reiser Relief can continue to save thousands of lives of these extremely impoverished people! They await your generous response and pray for God’s abundant blessings upon you.

Your support is the Hand of God assisting His children in their dire need. All of Reiser Relief operational workers do so on a volunteer basis so that 100% of your donations go directly to the people in need. May God bless you abundantly.

Reiser Relief History

Below is a list of our major accomplishments made possible through faith in God and your continued support to Reiser Relief Inc. The gratitude of the thousands Haitians helped is

beyond words.

2005. The St. Nicholas Knights of Columbus Council #12520 of New Market, Minnesota, purchased a semi-tractor and trailer equipped with two stainless steel tanks capable of holding 3,500 gallons of water. These were shipped to Haiti.

2006. Reiser Relief Inc. collaborated with Healing Haiti, a non-profit organization that shares a strategic alliance with Reiser Relief. With combined generous donations, many updates to Reiser Heights Primary School were built: a 4-room school addition, a 30,000-gallon cistern to collect clean water off the roof of the school, a 4-stall sanitary block (concrete outhouse), and a kitchen to replace the tin shack that was being used to prepare food for the children.

2007. Reiser Relief donations continued to support a 3,500 gallon water truck delivering 364,000 gallons of clean water each month in the slums of Cité Soleil. With the help of ECOsmarte Corporation, a second 3,500 gallon water truck was added to bring clean water to the slum of Jeremy Wharf outside of Port-au-Prince.

Reiser Relief began helping support a small orphanage in the village of Titanyen. The Maranatha House Orphanage is a Christian based orphanage for 30 children.

2008. Reiser Relief delivered over 4,000,000 gallons of clean water to the poor in the slum of Cité Soleil. The water trucks have delivered four 3,500 gallon loads of water, 6 days a week, 52 weeks per year to thousands of people.

Reiser Relief assisted in delivering two cargo shipping containers of 432,342 food packets. These food packets were assembled by volunteers in the U.S. and donated by the nonprofit organization Feed My Starving Children. For many children, the daily meal at school is the only one they will receive. This food was distributed to our Haiti projects located at Lespinasse, Cité Soleil, Leogonne, Jacmel, and Titanyen.

2009. Lack of funding due to hard economic times, resulted in using only one of the two water trucks to provide fresh drinking water. One water truck still ran 6 days a week, 52 weeks per year to

thousands of people in need. Reiser Relief delivered one cargo shipping container totaling 273,000 meals donated by Feed My Starving Children to feed the people of Haiti.

Reiser Relief provided for the salaries for teachers educating who educated over 1,000 children.

Reiser Relief assisted with Healing Haiti in purchasing 16 acres of land to build Grace Village. The cost of the land was approximately $34,000 and an estimated construction total cost is $236,500 for the first building phase. Phase one construction of Grace Village includes two orphanage dormitories, a feeding center, a 21,000 gallon cistern, water tower and a septic tank. The orphanage is for handicapped, deaf, abandoned, and orphaned children living in severe poverty.

2010. January 12Haiti was hit by a magnitude 7.0 earthquake was centered about 10 miles southwest of Port-au-Prince. Reiser Relief was quick to respond.

The following day, January 13, 2010, generous donations allowed $10,000 to be sent for water truck fuel expenses and local food purchases to assist the earthquake victims with immediate relief.

February

ÿReiser Relief donated $10,000 to Feed My Starving Children for ingredients to make MannaPack-Potato nutrition packets. This formula is used to treat children suffering from diarrhea, the number one cause of death.

ÿ Reiser Relief donated $10,000 for reconstruction of Terre Promise Primary School in Cité Soleil. The total reconstruction effort totaling $40,000 was sponsored by four nonprofit organizations: Healing Haiti, Mission of Mercy, Sacred Heart Haiti Mission and Reiser Relief.

March ÿ Reiser Relief donated $6,000 to assist in paying for shipping a cargo food container from Feed My Starving Children.

April ÿ $10,000 for a new roof on Reiser Heights Primary School in Lespinasse.

ÿ New construction of a Feeding Center at Grace Village in Titanyen. After completion, the center will feed orphans, street children and elderly.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, (then) I will enter his house and dine with him, and he with me. I will give the victor the right to sit with me on my throne, as I myself first won the victory and sit with My Father on his throne.

Revelation 3:20-21

Haiti Prayer

Almighty Father in heaven, surround the people of Haiti with Thy Divine Providence. Strengthen them in their trials, provide for their needs. May they join their sufferings to those of Jesus, God’s Son, as they walk through the rubble of the January earthquake.

May they realize that they are accompanying Jesus on the road to crucifixion.

May the Joys of Easter unfold in their hearts, and encourage them to persevere to heaven’s kingdom. Amen

Father Bernard Reiser
