For those of you who could not make the Spring Rally, you missed a good one. Things got off to a rocky start, but in the end it all turned out great. We had great meals by Barbara and her helpers, good devoAons and a good singing group that performed Friday and was enjoyed by all. Charles Chambliss and his crew did a fantasAc job building the pavilion behind the Lakeview CoEage. There are sAll some projects leF to be done at As We Go Campground. If you would like to come and work anyAme, just let Joe Rotunda know. Our next Rally will be just before the North Florida Fair. Folks working at the Fair can come to the Rally and go right to the Fair about an hour away. We have decided to call the Spring Rally “COM Family Reunion”. We will have more get together and less projects. It will be a Ame to meet new COM members and renew old friendships. This is your campground and I encourage all to take advantages it has to offer. We have plenty of RV sites, A peaceful seRng and Gainesville and Tallahassee shopping are but an hour away. Office of COM Recording Secretary Donna Huff
Bobby and Donna Huff served from May thru July at Truett Baptist Camp. We had a great time. Over the camping period we had a total of 410 with 59 saved and 50 rededications. And we had 10 church groups with salvations that we don't have a count of. A great time was had by all.
Office of VICE PRESIDENT JOE ROTUNDA It has been a busy summer. It was good to see so many Florida folks at the National
Rally in Marion, N.C. The North Carolina Campers On Mission did a great job of hosting the rally. A real treat while attending the rally was a visit to Billy Graham’s Library and home place in Charlotte as well as a visit to “The Cove” where several of our folks have volunteered this summer. If any of you get an opportunity to serve with Billy Graham Ministries you should definitely do so. It is an experience that will leave you with memories you will cherish for a long time.
Bob Dawson and myself along with several other COM members have been trying to stay ahead of the grass growing at the “As You Go Campsites” at Pickett Lake this summer. With all the rain and extreme heat it has proven to be a real “on going” project. I hope to be able to recruit more volunteers who are willing to come and help with the mowing next summer. I am making plans to attend the Florida Baptist Convention at First Baptist Church, Panama City after our Fall Rally and look forward to having some of our members join me at our booth where we can “share the COM story” with folks and hopefully recruit new members. Several of our folks have worn their COM shirts to church on Sundays and that has sparked some interest from different folks. I would like to challenge each of you to invite one person or couple to come to our Fall Rally and see what Campers On Mission is about. We are planning to have good food, good fellowship and lots of “sharing” from folks who have been involved in several different ministry opportunities this year. We always welcome guests to any of our evening programs, meals, devotions, seminars or just to visit with our folks. I challenge each member to help to dispel the saying “Campers On Mission Is The Best Kept Secret in The Florida Baptist Convention”. Looking forward to seeing all of you at the Fall Rally.
Franklin Russell, a Mississippi COM member asked if I know anyone needing a car dolly. His dolly has breaks and is in good shape. He bought it for $2400 and wants $800 for it. Russell lives in Tupelo Mississippi, 598 Country rd. 6659, Shannon, Mississippi 38868.

What a wonderful time we had at the recent Spring Rally! There was such a great spirit and everyone seemed eager to pitch in and do whatever required to get the job done. The men did a super job of building the new pavilion, doing lots of maintenance around the campus and general cleaning of the property. Thanks Barbara for having the vision for the pavilion and Charles Chambliss for heading up the project and providing leadership with the construction. The ladies also found time to do some yard work, cleaning and making lots of hats and bibs. Thanks to all who worked hard to make the rally a success. Some very good suggestions were made for future rallies. I really like the idea of calling our Spring Rally a “Family Reunion!” We have such a wonderful COM family. We were so glad to have several new members join us. They came right in and started working right away. We welcome you and we hope you will always enjoy being a vibrant part of COM, helping us as we share Christ as we go. Ray Campbell made a presentation using some posters that he had made to be used in making informational presentations about COM. The posters were very professionally made and something that we can be very proud of. He has been making presentations to pastors and various churches in the Pensacola area. Good job Ray and Earline – keep up the good work! If you would like more information on the posters or how to effectively spread the news about COM, contact Ray.

Wow! Time is sure flying by. It’s almost time for the Fally Rally and then the North Florida Fair and then the busy holiday season. It is truly a blessed time of the year for all Campers On Mission to be involved. Speaking of being involved, we had a really good turn out from Florida for the national rally this past June. The COMers from North Carolina did an excellent job of providing a wonderful rally for us. It was a great time to reconnect with folks from far and near that we had not seen in some time. After the rally Russell and I joined COMers from Arizona, North Carolina and Alabama in working at the Billy Graham Training Center, The Cove. What a marvelous experience. If you want to work on truly “holy ground” you must go to The Cove. The Spirit of God is so prevalent there in everything you do. Probably one of the greatest experiences we have had in working with COM. Our group was the first COM group to serve at The Cove. They have just found out about our organization. They made us feel so welcome and they are eager to have more COMers come and serve. The Cove has 4 full hookup sites and 1 site with water and electricity. If you haven’t served with COM in sometime, let us encourage you to get involved. We have great Wagon Masters in every region. They will be so happy to help you connect with a project either in your own region or some destination of your choice. If you are unable to work at this time, please stay in touch with your Wagon Master to find out what specific projects you can be lifting up in pray. Pray warriors are a vital part of our ministry.

Guidelines for Wagon Masters “As We Go” Campground
We sincerely want everyone to enjoy their visit to COM As We Go campground. Hopefully the guidelines listed below will allow us to all relax and enjoy our time together.
1. No pets will be allowed in the motel rooms or the cottages. Exception only for service dogs with proper documentation. 2. If you have pets in your rig, please be respectful of others and clean up the grounds after your pet. Pets should be on a leash at all times when outside the rig. 3. COM has our own utensils for use in the camp kitchen. Please use these and not items that belong to Middle Florida Assembly when possible. COM items are marked. We also furnish our own paper towels, and plastic trash bags which will be available for our use. 4. When cleaning the dorms, motel rooms or other buildings on the property, COM will furnish cleaning supplies. 5. COM supplies and materials are stored in the Lakeview Cottage (brick house) after rallies. 6. Regions hosting the Fall Rally should have a committee to assist in getting items back in storage after a rally. (supplies, flags, sound equipment) 7. Used linens from the cottages and motel rooms should be gathered and given to Barbara Rotunda at the end of the rally. 8. Plans should be made during the Spring Rally for the Fall Rally. The hosting Region should have meetings to establish committees. The committees should include a Missions Fair committee to make contacts and have representatives prepared to share at the Fall Rally with displays, etc. There should also be a committee to coordinate the workshops to be offered. A crafts committee should make contacts with crafters with ample time for them to prepare crafts to be for sale at the Fall Rally. Crafters should make an adequate donation to COM to be allowed to sell their crafts. Crafts should be handmade and/or Christian orientated. Crafters must bring their own tables for setup. Parking for the rally will be coordinated by Joe Rotunda and Pat Carlise. PLEASE INCLUDE ON THE REGISTRATION FORM A SPACE TO BE CHECKED FOR EITHER 50 OR 30 AMP FOR EACH RIG. 9. The Food Committee for the Fall Rally should meet with Barbara during the Spring Rally to establish a tentative menu.

10.Until a permanent dump station is established for COM, there will be no dumping except by the “honey wagon” . Due to the limited capacity of the dump station, please make sure your rig is EMPTY when coming to the campground. There are several churches nearby which will allow us to dump our rigs.
11. The hosting Region for the Fall Rally should follow protocol in establishing an agenda for the business meeting. ie, 1st Finance Committee; 2nd Wagon Masters meeting; 3rd Executive Committee. These meetings should be held preferably before the opening session of the rally.
12. The Spring Rally will be held the 3rd Saturday in May. It will be designated as THE FAMILY REUNION. Sunday will be a Sunday dinner type meal with a gathering of our COM family. Monday will begin our work schedule to prepare the camp by cleaning the buildings and grounds in preparation for youth camps, etc in the summer. All COMers wishing to remain over after the Reunion are welcome to stay and work.
13. For the Spring Rally, the Rally Board consisting of the Wagon Masters plus one representative from each region, plus the COM officers will plan the spring Family Reunion. The Rally Board will provide kitchen helpers with scheduled helpers for each meal. EX: breakfast helpers, lunch helpers, supper helpers. Duties include food prep; washing pots and pans, preparing ice before meals, making sure eating utensils are ready, clean-up after meal. One person should be in charge of each meal.
14. The charge for a motel room will be $30 per night. The Lakeview Cottage rents for $10 per night per person. Campsites are $10 per night with 30 or 50 amp service and water. During rallies COMers can get 3 meals a day for a total price of $10 a day!

Northwest Region News
April 2015 The Spring Rally turned out to be a very good rally. People worked together on crafts and also helped prepare and serve the food. The biggest project that we got done was a 32’ x 36’ pole barn that Charles Chambliss was given the responsibility to get done. The men folks all worked together to get it done, and it turned out to be very nice. A big thanks to all to all of them. The Northwest Region had 4 couples to join, plus the grandchildren of Charles and Lula Chambliss. We want to welcome them to COM, and hope that they will enjoy serving the Lord. It was a very nice rally all together.
September 2015 Northwest Region helped with the building the Pole Barn which Charles was in charge of erecting. The other Regions all pitched in and helped. It got done with everybody working together. To us we had a good turn out for the National Rally In Marion, N.C.in June. A group of us went to the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, N.C. and we all enjoyed that. Charles talked to our Church about C. O. M. and what they do to help Churches, and about putting a jar in the Church. for Book Links and what Books Links does. We did VBS on July the 27th,28th,&the 29th. We were tired when it was over, but we had a total of 45 children and 15 workers. The children had a good time. Some of the Northwest Region is helping our Church work on our Kitchen so we can have more space. The name of our Church is Collins Chapel in Malone,Fl.. The men are doing the work and the ladies are making aprons or bibs to take to the Nursing Home for the people there. We have talked another couple into joining COM and they will be at Fall Rally.
Charles &Lula Chambliss, Wagonmaster

Northeast Region
Our region has met and planned the upcoming fall rally which we hope will be interesting to all. Our program theme is "WE ARE BRINGING YOU GOOD NEWS"taken from scripture Acts 14:16. I would like to encourage all our northeast COMers to bring an item for a door prize. We certainly are looking for a good turnout and a GOD bleesed event.
Many of our COMers have been out of state working on various projects during the summer.
Bob King and a crew painted the large Highlands Baptist Church in Ocala and we have plans to construct a church the first of next year in west Ocala.

PICKETT LAKE CAMP PHASE 4 Middle Florida Assembly, Pickett Lake Camp, Lafayette County, Florida
Florida COM members have successfully completed over 70 sites for the members to use during our State Rally each fall and our “Family Reunion” each spring. The sites all have water and electric. We have both 30 amp and 50 amp hook-ups available. The COM members are responsible for the electricity and the grounds upkeep. We are presently able to do this with a nominal $10 donation per site. Any COM member who is traveling in the area and needs a place to “stop over” is more than welcome to pull in and enjoy the serenity of Pickett Lake. Mr & Mrs Lavon Windham donated a beautiful park model to the COM. We have it all set up, complete with a porch/deck in the middle of our campsites. It will sleep 4 people very comfortably. It is completely furnished and we have utilized it for a “snack” and rest area during the work sessions. We always have members who stay in it during the rallies. We built over forty 8 ft. picnic tables and have them at the sites. We also replaced 5 old picnic tables in the children’s camp area with new ones. We have also acquired the use of the Lakeview Cottage. This 3 bedroom/2 bath brick house has been cleaned and we have furnished it for our use. Each bedroom has 2 single beds. The large living room and kitchen/dining area is ideal for our small group meetings. The kitchen is complete with a refrigerator/freezer and electric stove. We have a dishwasher waiting to be installed. The cottage is ideal for some of our members who no longer have a rig to be able to come to the rally and have a nice place to stay close to the other campers. Our latest addition to the facility is a 30 X 48 screen pavilion. The “pole barn” was erected in less than 2 days by our members in the spring. They then added a deck floor, electricity and screen siding. We anticipate adding ceiling fans and more outside lighting in the near future. Some patio furniture has been donated and looks real nice in the pavilion. Plans are to use the pavilion for our “social” time. A real nice place for folks to gather for fellowship while at the rallies. Several small trees have been removed and a new septic system added at the cottage. We hope to be able to have a “dump” connection for our use in the near future. Meanwhile we encourage members to “arrive empty” when coming to Pickett Lake. We do have a couple of “honey wagons” to use if needed. Plans are in the works to add a covered walkway from the Lakeview cottage to the screen pavilion. We have two very nice handicap ramps at each entrance to the pavilion as well as a “lean to” shelter to prevent rain from blowing in on the west side. PLEASE NOTE: Free labor is always welcome. However we realize that some of our members are not able to help physically. So, instead of coming to the site and helping, we ask that you keep all of us in your prayers. You can also help by contributing financially to help with the costs of materials for future expansion and maintenance. Anyone who feels led to donate to the Florida COM “As We Go” Campsites can make checks payable to Florida Campers On Mission and send them to our treasurer Kay Dawson. The facility is located in Lafayette County, 8 miles E of Mayo and 8 miles W of Branford...US27 to CR 405...CR405 to Salvation Road (Baptist Camp is located on Salvation Road). For more information on the camp, you may want to visit their website which is www.baptistcamp.com. Please contact Bob Dawson 386-294-3489, Joe Rotunda 386-688-2380 if you are available to come and help with mowing or working at any time.
