Regional Telecommunications The announcement that the Federal Government will contribute $29.4million that will add to the $45million Royalties for Regions (Rfr) funded Regional Telecommunications Project (RTP) has been greatly welcomed by your local Nationals WA team. This will see a total of 153 tower built at sites across WA, including the previously announced 22 priority sites funded by Rfr. A total of $85million has been allocated from Rfr to the Regional Mobile Communications Program ($40mill), which enabled the delivery of 113 towers, and the RTP ($45) to improve mobile voice and internet communication across regional WA. The substantial contribution from the Federal Government is further recognition of the work that has been done through the RMCP and the RTP in providing the essential groundwork required to support the investment.
