    Job Title: Regional Director of Patient Services Reports To: Vice President of Medical Business Development

    Location: Detroit Metro Region FLSA Status: Exempt/Full-time/Benefited

    Position Summary: The Regional Director of Patient Services manages and provides leadership for assigned clinical services in the state; develops, implements and evaluates the region

    strategic plan and budget; participates as a member of the senior management team; recruits, hires and supervises clinic managers; and ensures high quality, cost effective and efficient clinical

    services are offered in compliance with state, federal and PPFA standards and guidelines. Acts as regional leader of PPMSM clinical services to develop and deliver services appropriate for the

    region. Takes an active role in representing and promoting PPMSM in the region.

    Essential Functions:

    Hire, train, and evaluate performance of health center managers. Help develop and monitor the annual strategic and work plan, including short and long range goals and objectives for managers and the clinics in the region served relative to all medical

    services offered (i.e., family planning, vasectomy, abortion, prenatal, etc.)

    Help develop, implement, and monitor the budget for the patient services department, including clinic cash flow and cost centers expenses and revenue. Articulate the vision of the organization to managers and staff and helps them see their role and be accountable in attaining it as it relates to the region. Analyze and monitor health center services and operational systems including patient flow and staffing with health center managers to maximize clinic efficiency and reach performance

    goals

    Assist in planning and implementation of all clinical programs and services in accordance with current community needs and agency goals and objectives. Monitor patient volume, capacity and productivity. Build relationships with agencies, providers, publics in the region that will result in improved services to the patient needs of the region represented. Monitor regional needs for reproductive/family planning services including competitor capabilities. Accept individual and joint responsibility for, and the efforts to achieve health center annual goals regarding number of patients served, telephone waiting time, appointment show rate

    accuracy in the execution and recording of patient payments, customer satisfaction, etc.

    Ensure that all PPFA, affiliate, state and regulatory and grantee medical practices and protocols are implemented and followed by staff at all sites. Ensure that clinical excellence is maintained and monitored at every site- including OSHA and CLIA regulations, coordination of QA reports, audits, incident reports, risk management

    and medical referral lists.

    Develop marketing and promotional plan for the region that reflects strategies of the Affiliate and are specific to the needs of each center.

    Participate in setting standards for implementation of training for clinical programs. Other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Supervises the health center managers and other subordinate personnel of the assigned region. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and

    applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;

    addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    A Bachelors degree in health sciences or a related field. Five to seven years of previous supervisor and/or administrative experience is required. Ability to work with other community and provider agencies to develop successful business relationships.
