Global Digital eBook Trends The transition to digitization continues in

book publishing, an industry that is both susceptible to digital disruption, but also

positioned to benefit tremendously from it, according to Forrester Research analyst James McQuivey who kicked off this year's

Digital Book World conference found that while 82% of publishers were optimistic about digital, the

number was down from 89% last year. Indeed only 28% of those thought their own company would be stronger in the future, down from 51% last year. While publishers may be a

bit daunted, they are rapidly organizing their firms for digital: 75% of publishers have an executive level person responsible

for digital; 63% report that digital skills are formally inte-grated into all departments; 69% of the publishers expect to increase digital staffing in 2012, while 22% expect overall

company staffing to go down in 2012.

Digital Bangladesh

Bangladesh has extraordinary human capital to build up a thriving online digital ePublishing industry. Among traditional

publishers, digital is an opportunity to become a global leader, if the country’s entrepreneurs could manage to find the right instrument, software and the right secured market-

ing tools. We could lighten the load of student’s backpacks, and digitize

maximum text and reference books & magazines. Involve outfitting schools, colleges, and universities with the support technology of Bangla OCR & TTS and place online educational

resources including study guides, lesson plans, and work-books, in addition to converting the textbooks with audio/

video interactive to digital eBooks. Publishers are being forced to reconsider the basis of their business and most of the times they are simply not prepared for the changed

technology to alter their approach of digitization. Now, for the first time, we are obliged to understand what the

Bengali e-readers really want a free universal software package of BANGLA OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and TTS (Text to Speech) which should recognize the overall

Indian and Bangladeshi ebook publishers on Bengali (language operatives or think-tanks trailed by political friendly negotia-

tions). This OCR should run on Linux, Windows and Mac OSX (Android, TXT, EPUB, FB2, HTML, PDB, PDF, DOC, Mobi, Kindle,

IPAD), which for eBook hardware devices with DRM (Digital Restrictions Management).

SmartPhone Now mobile eBook market has overtaken PC’s and the num-ber of mobile eBook sites has increased sharply. There are

two reasons of this trend. First, the terminal devices spread widely in and now maximum devices are 3G mobiles of which

speed is 3.5Mbps. Secondly, the flat rate system channel of mobile is convenient enough for customers to purchase eBook without hesitation. The easiest part of eBook publishing

is getting the finished product up and running for distribu-tion. Many can be uploaded with just a click of a few buttons.

But where most entrepreneurs face a challenge is in finding the time, or having the writing chops, to craft the eBook in the first place. Publishers are being forced to reconsider the

basis of their business and most of the times they are simply not prepared for the change since they lack the mental agility

to alter their approach. Until now we have lived on a sort of happy island, making millions of books but not really facing what the market was asking us. In 2011, smartphone ship-

ments rocketed 61.3% from 2010's total up from 304.7 mil-lion phones shipped in 2010.

Card Payment System Electronic card payment system should be safer and easier

(Paypal, VISA, Master etc.). Bangladesh Bank should offers more means of foreign currency payment including (API code

to Banks’ instrument) credit card, debit card, bank transfer to the domestic home ICT small businesses, and web masters need to paying for SSL, SGC super certifications purchase,

Digital ID with SAN on delivery, something highly sought by local ecommerce sites/consumers.

Core Projects Digital publishing in Bangladesh would not be a complex

undertaking, although a fascinating and inevitable one. The

great wave of digitalization is here,

and it’s here to stay. So, grab your surfboard and let’s have some fun, but

with national united value, entrepre-neurship and global eBusiness! So, the Nation need following instruments free

of cost.

• OCR (Optical Character Recognition)

and OMR (Optical Mark Reading), used to convert scanned text documents to editable text files. Need for robotic scanner machines

and related OCR software for converting paper books to eBooks.

• TTS (Text to Speech) system can help tackle illiteracy prob-lems, empower the visually impaired and increase the possibilities of

improved human machine interaction.

• DRM (Digital Restrictions Management) in eReader devices and web servers which is more restrictive than copyright law.

Expansion Plan Mobile networks and online service providers are our main

strength to penetrate every year in 117795 academic institu-tions, 838150 teachers, and 29973548 students in 7 divi-sions, 64 districts and 474 upajilas (Local Government opera-

tives). Another market of Non students adults and 58 govern-ment ministries or bodies. 242 franchisee will work as sub-

servers to control & assist the expected operations exten-sion to more than 450 ebook stores or to each Thana or every Police Station in first year. The eBoiPatra.com focuses

on the specific needs of academic and research-based eLi-braries sourcing hundreds of global academic publishers. It

will be the cheapest for reserve lending, course-packs, virtual photocopy technology. Publishers are being forced to reconsider the basic changes of their business design since

they lack the mental agility to alter their approach. Every year’s operational estimated growth rate will be 12% as per

survey of KINGSHUK.

National Cause

National revenues are moderately sensitive to changes in the general economy and the life style. However, education are now considered a necessity, and as such, people will continue

to acquire new easy methods and service despite drawbacks

in the general economy. National eLibrary Society will be able to maintain profitability as the ebook Store generates

high gross margins from new franchise activations and service upgrades.

International Mother Language Day

International

Mother Language Day is an obser-vance held annu-ally on 21 Febru-ary worldwide to pro-mote awareness of lin-

guistic and cultural di-versity and multilin-gualism. Its observance was also formally rec-ognized by the United Nations General As-

sembly in its resolution establishing 2008 as the International Year of Languages. International Mother Language Day origi-nated as the interna-tional recognition of Language Movement Day, which has been commemorated in Bangladesh (formerly

East Pakistan) since 1952, when a number of Dedicated citizen in-cluding students , of the University of Dhaka were killed by the Pakistani police in Dhaka during Bengali Language Movement protests.

On 21 March 1948, Mohammed Ali Jinnah, the

Governor general of

Pakistan, declared that Urdu aShall be the state of Pakistan ( West and East Pakistan). The peo-ple of East Pakistan

(now Bangladesh), having mother lan-guage Bangla, started to protest against this. On 21 February 1952, (8th

Falgun 1358 in the Bangla calendar), t. The government in-voked a limited cur-few to prevent this and the protests were tamed down so as to not break the curfew. The Pakistani police fired on the students de-spite these peaceful

protests and a num-ber of students were killed. Four of them were Abdus Salam, Rafiq Uddin Ahmed, Abul Barkat and Abdul Jabbar. Bangladesh and the whole globe Celebrates the day with respect for the

movement language.

Reed Exhibitions, whose trade fairs include BookExpo America and the

London Book Fair, has signed on as

an affiliate partner to PubMatch, the book-publishing and rights database

founded earlier in 2011 by Publish-ers Weekly and Combined Book Ex-

hibit. The addition of Reed Exhibi-tions adds the capability for confer-

rights information in several differ-ent languages.

Currently the membership of Match

to 10,000 or more by the end of 2012. PubMatch affiliates include

Taiwan-based Lee’s Literary Agency and Author Marketing Experts, based

in San Diego. The PubMatch Web

site is offered in English and simpli-fied Chinese, with traditional (or

complex) Chinese currently being programmed and the next language

to go live. German is to follow later

this fall. Malinowski said new programming

on PubMatch includes an improved catalogue-generation feature and

search capabilities, and added that a section dedicated to service pro-

viders is forthcoming, with areas included for translators, illustrators,

editors, trade associations, distribu-

tors and wholesalers and more. The additions are expected to be live in

time for the Frankfurt Book Fair. An-other new section is to include an

employment exchange by country; already the site is streaming in Pub-
