Barber vs. Washington (9/21): Still serving as the team’s pri-mary option in the running game, Barber was held to 26 yards oneight carries as the team ran the ball only 11 times during thecontest. He also caught two passes for 11 yards.

Barber vs. Cincinnati (10/5): In an effort to put the game inthe hands of Dallas’ talented running back tandem, Barberrushed 23 times for 84 yards, including a long rush of 16 yards.Barber’s 84-yard rushing effort allowed him to cross the 2,500rushing yard barrier (2,562) to become only the ninth runningback in team history to accomplish the feat. He also caught twopasses for eight yards.

Barber @ Arizona (10/12): Though he rushed for 45 yards on17 carries on the ground, Barber’s strongest damage to the Car-dinals defense was through the air as the running back hauledin a career-high 11 receptions for a career-high 128 yards withone touchdown on a 70-yard catch - a career-long. His touch-down catch and run in the fourth quarter allowed Dallas to trimthe Arizona lead to three points, 21-24, with two minutes re-maining in the game. His 128 receiving yards also marked thefourth-best receiving yardage day by a running back in club his-tory, while his 11 receptions topped his previous high of 10 re-ceptions he had against Detroit (12/9/07).

Barber @ St. Louis (10/19): Barber highlighted the Cowboysoffense with 18 rushes for 100 yards and one touchdown alongwith one reception for 13 yards. His 100-yard effort was his sec-ond of the season, third as a starter and sixth overall in his ca-reer. Barber’s 18 attempts increased his career total to 605 tomake him the 10th running back in team history to reach 600 ca-reer rushing attempts.

In continuing with the recent trend of a two-running back sys-tem, the Cowboys used their first pick in the 2008 draft on a run-ning back that left the collegiate ranks as only the fourth runningback in NCAA history to average over 7.0 yards-per-carry. FelixJones to complements Marion Barber’s bruising rushing styleand is no stranger to a two-back system after spending his col-legiate career sharing the backfield with Darren McFadden.Jones suffered a hamstring injury during the second half of theArizona game and is expected to miss the next few weeks.

Through seven games of 2008, Jones is seventh among rook-ies in carries (30), sixth in rushing yards (266), tops in averagerush (8.9) and tied for fifth with three rushing touchdowns.

Jones vs. Philadelphia (9/15): Jones added some relief forBarber in the second game of the season, rushing three times for10 yards. However, he made his appearance much more mem-orable in the return game on the nationally broadcast game, re-turning six kickoffs for 247 yards (41.2 avg.) and took one kickoff98 yards for a touchdown to earn NFC Special Teams Player ofthe Week. His touchdown return marked the first since RandalWilliams returned one 38 yards for a score against Philadelphia(10/12/03) and was the longest kickoff return by a Cowboy sinceReggie Swinton returned one 100 yards for the score at Philadel-phia (9/22/02). Jones’ 247 kickoff return yards effort led to a fran-chise record and his 41.2 average was good for the fourth-best in club record books.

Jones @ Green Bay (9/21): Jones teamed with Barber to pro-duce 218 yards on the ground, including his 76-yard effort. Healso recorded his second career rushing touchdown while break-ing loose for a 60-yard touchdown burst to mark the longestrushing touchdown by a club rookie running back since TonyDorsett had an 84-yard touchdown run against Philadelphia(12/4/77). It was the fourth-longest touchdown by a Dallas rookierunning back in team history. After scoring a touchdown in each

of his first three games (two rushing on kickoff return), Jones be-came the first rookie in Dallas Cowboys team history to accom-plish the feat and was the first rookie in NFL history to do sosince Andre Davis (Houston) and Donte’ Stallworth (New Or-leans) each had similar performances during the 2002 season.

Jones vs. Washington (9/28): Jones did not attempt a runnor catch a pass against the Redskins though he did see actionin some offensive sets.

Jones vs. Cincinnati (10/5): After failing to touch the ball onoffense last week, Jones rebounded with another electrifyingperformance, rushing for 96 yards on nine carries (10.7 avg.)with one touchdown. He added one catch for seven yards. Latein the fourth quarter with Dallas clinging to a 24-22 lead, Jonestook a handoff 18 yards off the left side and added 15 yards afterthe play due to a personal face mask call on the defense. Therun and subsequent penalty allowed the Cowboys to set up shopon the Cincinnati 29-yard line where the offense would score itsfinal and decisive touchdown of the evening six plays later.

Jones @ Arizona (10/12): Jones rushed three times for 22yards including a long run of 14 yards before leaving the gamein the third quarter with a hamstring injury and did not return.

Jones @ St. Louis (10/19): Jones was inactive due to a ham-string injury.

Dallas added to its backfield depth once again in the 2008 NFLDraft by selecting Tashard Choice in the fourth round. Choiceleft Georgia Tech as the first running back in school history totop 1,000 yards in consecutive seasons while also leading theACC in rushing both years.

@ Cleveland (9/7): Choice made his NFL rushing debut latein the fourth quarter as he helped close out the game and secure the win by rushing for 26 yards on five carries. Two of his rusheswent for crucial first downs, including a 15-yard long rush on thirddown to allow the Cowboys to run-out the clock. @ St. Louis(10/19): Choice saw extended action in the offensive backfieldwith the injury to Jones, rushing two times for 13 yards.

Deon Anderson took over as the club’s starting fullback afterstarting four games and playing in eight as a rookie last season. He is a natural fullback that was selected in the sixth round(195th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. His rookie season wasslowed after tearing his right rotator cuff and spending the sec-ond half of the season on the club’s injured reserve list. Onceagain, Anderson suffered a setback, injuring his left knee in thegame against Philadelphia (9/15). He underwent surgery to re-pair meniscus damage and will miss some time while rehabbingfollowing the surgery.

Anderson @ Cleveland (9/7): Anderson made his first startof the 2008 season against the Browns, playing in his first gamesince suffering a season-ending torn right rotator injury atPhiladelphia (11/4/07) last season. His blocking paved the wayfor 167 total rushing yards and three touchdowns, including twoby starting running back Barber. vs. Philadelphia (9/15): An-derson helped the offense grind out 68 yards on the ground withone rushing touchdown while also adding protection of Romo toallow the quarterback to throw for 300-yards in his second con-secutive game. His blocking also helpedthe Cowboys running game gather 198 yards on the ground. @St. Louis (10/19): Anderson lead the way for Barber to post thesecond 100-yard rushing game of the season while also addingto the action himself with one catch for six yards.

Terrell Owens signed with Dallas prior to the 2006 seasonand has exceeded expectations since his arrival. He led theteam with 1,180 yards in 2006 and bettered that in 2007, record-ing a team-best 1,355 yards and establishing a club record with15 receiving touchdowns - tops in the NFC. The 2007 season was no exception asWitten established franchise tight end records for catches (96),receiving yards (1,145) and a career-high seven touchdowncatches. He became the first Dallas tight end and 13th tight endin league history to top 1,000 receiving yards in a season. Through seven weeks, Witten leads the team and is tied forthird in the league with 45 catches. His team-high 541 receivingyards is good for sixth in the league - tops among tight ends.

Tony Curtis returns for his third season in Dallas after seeingtime in all 16 games as a reserve in 2007. The 2007 season saw Curtis record his first three receptions - all touchdowns - whilealso proving his worth as a capable run blocker.

@ Cleveland (9/7): Curtis opened the 2008 season with onecatch for eight yards. He also saw time in multiple tight end setson offense and contributed on special teams. vs. Philadelphia(9/15): Curtis logged his first career start as the club opened withthree tight ends and caught two passes for seven yards whileseeing extended time in the Monday Night Football contest dueto an early shoulder injury to Witten. @ Green Bay (9/21): Cur-tis started at fullback with Anderson (knee) inactive and caughtone pass for six yards. As one of the biggest and most powerful offensive lines in theleague in 2007, the Dallas Cowboys return all five starters fromlast year in left tackle Flozell Adams, left guard Kyle Kosier, center Andre Gurode, right guard Leonard Davis and righttackle Marc Colombo. Behind the O-Line’s work, the Dallas of-fense finished second in the NFC, third in the league, averaging365.7 yards-per-game. The club racked up 455 points, the sec-ond-most behind the 1983 squad’s 479. The Dallas line was alsowell represented in the Pro Bowl, sending Adams for his fourthappearance - second consecutive - Gurode for his second con-secutive and Davis for his first trip. The line lost some consis-tency to start the season after Kosier suffered a foot injury in theHouston game and was sidelined for the first two games. He re-turned for the game at Green Bay (9/21) and re-injured his foot.He is expected to miss several weeks due to the injury.

With Kosier sidelined with a foot injury suffered in the presea-son game against Houston, Cory Procter - who started twogames at center in place of Gurode (knee) last season - steppedin to start three of the last four games at left guard

He finished 2007 fourth in the league witha 47.1 gross and seventh with a 38.5 net average. Narrowlymissing a Pro Bowl selection in 2007, McBriar previouslyowned a streak of 295 consecutive punts without a block -second in team record books behind Danny White’s 341 be-fore his attempt in overtime at Arizona (10/12) was blocked, snapping the streak at 299.
