STEPS FOR ACTIVATION
Ac#va#on steps :
1. Soak in cold water for about 30 minutes (the hydrogel grains start swelling)
NOTE : do not use salted water as salt damages the hydrogel grains 2. Wring out the acOvated garment gently OR wrap in a towel
3. Let the garment dry hanging for 30 minutes in any venOlated space 4. The garment is ready to be used ! When the Hydrogel in the vest is dry (hard grains), repeat steps 1 Oll 3
Wearing the clothes : The clothing is cooled by evaporaOon (cools down to 7°C relaOve
to the environment temperature). For addiOonal cooling follow below 2 opOons : 1. hydrogel clothing can be placed in the refrigerator for extra cooling. The clothing will provide maximum 30 minutes of extra intense cooling and conOnues cooling by evaporaOon . 2. More intense cooling > aker acOvaOon the clothes can be placed in the freezer during the night. The clothing will provide 2 to 3 hours of addiOonal intense cooling as the hydrogel has turned into ice and will melt ; aker this, it will cool by evapora-‐ Oon. Ideal when wearing the cooling garment under work wear !
Deac#va#ng the clothes :
-‐ Allow the garment to completely ‘evaporate’, so no more water is present in the clothing. You will feel when the sok hydrogel is transformed into hard grains.
-‐ Store the clothes in a dry, cool & venOlated area
Maintenance of the clothes :
-‐ Wash clothing and accessories by hand with mild (green) soap in lukewarm water . DO NOT use a washing machine!
-‐ Aker washing, hang clothes to dry in a cool & well-‐venOlated area
FREEZING Hydrogel products
Do NOT roll the cooling product. Lay flat or ½ folded in the freezer

COOLING PROCESS by EVAPORATION
The impact of evaporaOve cooling is Inversely related to the relaOve humi-‐ dity and venOlaOon. At high humidity and low venOlaOon, evaporaOve coo-‐ ling will be less effecOve. FELTEST proprietary Hydrogel© tech-‐ nology basically mimics the sweaOng Process. Sweat contains water which evapora-‐ tes at the skin, which extracts energy in the form of heat. This is what we call evaporaOve cooling.
