Project Summary

Ministry of Municipality & Urban Planning – Ministry of Qatar – Renovation of the theater-

Technical description

The first step was the removal/demolishing of all the existing installations including audio &

lighting equipment from hall and stage, dismantling existing ladder on stage and catwalk

systems, existing acoustic wall panels, removal of old auditorium chairs and old carpets,

dismantling control room, existing stage, side & electrical rooms.

The Civil construction included the design and construction of the stage, green room, electrical

room, control room, VIP and translation room, the reconstruction of the floor steps and the

emergency door installation.

The steel structure and cat walk included the design, supply and erection of the solid steel

structure, fabrication of the catwalk system and of the ladder to the catwalk.

The electrical installation included the installation of service lights for hall, service light on

stage, catwalk and electrical room, the installation of LED hidden lights on walls and ceiling, the

LED step lights on floor steps, the central battery system for emergency lights, the exit & entry

signage system with light.

The acoustic system included the design, supply and installation of the avoustic wall panels, the

wooden ceiling panels, three layer acoustic floor carpet.

PANOU S.A. was also responsible for the installation of the fire alarm system, the CCTV and

EVE/PA system, the design, supply and installation of the auditorium chairs, the service lift for

the control room, the stage curtain, the lighting systems, the audiovisual syetms, the pro video

recording, the talkback system, the conference system and the theater stage LED display

Exit & Entry Signage system with Light

The Entry and Exit signage lights use 8W fluorescent lamps, have the sign “Exit” both in English

and Arabic.

Service lift for Control Room

A Service Lift is installed at back side of the Hall to transport equipment’s and passenger from

ground floor to first floor control room and to the catwalk level. The service lift can be stopped

at any level between “0” Level to Cat walk Area level.

Fire alarm system

The fire alarm panel is a true intelligent digital peer-to- peer modular fire alarm control system.

It is ideal for all life safety and property protection applications and is intended for both

commercial and industrial use. It is designed with extensive programmability that allows the

almost-instantaneous relay of information and the ability to perform process management tasks

with ease including shutdowns, HVAC, Voice Evacuation Systems, Dampers, Doors, Elevators,

and Security, CCTV/Building Management Awareness.

Voice Alarm Controller

The Voice Alarm Controller unit is the heart of the voice alarm system. It is the basis of the Voice

Alarm System, and has all the essential functionality for compliance with the EN 54 16 and EN

60849 standards, including full system supervision, loudspeaker line impedance supervision, a

supervised emergency microphone on the front panel and a supervised message manager.

Call Station

The call station is a stylish, high-quality call station with a stable metal base design, a flexible

microphone stem and a unidirectional condenser microphone. It can make calls to selected

zones (one to six and all-call) in a public address system.

CCTV Management system

The CCTV management system consists of the network switch, power supplies, PTZ joystick, live

camera monitors and workstation with management SW and recording capabilities.

Design, supply, installation and Testing of Audio system

The audio system consists of the management and amplification devices, the functions of the

system cover conference, theater and live applications.

Design, supply installation of Video system

A configurable matrix switcher that supports digital and analog video and audio signals with up

to 16 inputs and 16 outputs for distribution and routing of local and remote sources and

destinations.

Pro. Video Recording

The Pro video recording system consists of PTZ and Handy cam broadcast camera’s with

switching, mixing, storage and editing capabilities. The two HD PTZ are installed on the ceiling

and the handy cam can be installed on a floor tripod.

Control System

The automation system consists of the central controller, touch screens and expansion

automation ports units.

Talkback system

Total 4 points ( 4 Ch.) wireless system 1 x stage left, 1 x stage right, 1 x mixing desk, 1 x Bio (

follow spot position ) Head sets and units were supplied and installed.
