St Lucia Business Executive Services Trust (BEST) Criteria for Registration of Consultants

Individuals wishing to register on the Technical Assistance must meet the criteria set either by academic qualification (with minimum experience) or achievement on the basis of practical work experience with minimum qualifications i.e.

1. Academic qualification with minimum experience

2. Work experience with minimum academic qualifications The benchmark requirements for the two categories are as follows:

Academic qualification with minimum experience

i) A First Degree and a Masters Degree in the relevant area (from a recognized University) and 10 years work experience in that field.

ii) A First Degree in the relevant area (from a recognized University) and 15 or more

years work experience in that field.

iii) Members of Professional bodies (ACCA, CGA, CPA, CA etc), must have at least 6 years post qualification experience.

iv) Members of the International Consultancy Institutes1, who do not possess the

necessary academic qualifications, can be qualified, if they pass all the relevant exams.

v) Members of the Association of Management Consultants (St Lucia) Incorporated.

Work experience with minimum academic qualifications

i) Must be retired professional with at least twenty-five (25) years work experience with in a specific field

ii) Must have reached at least supervisory level during work career

iii) Must demonstrate a successful track record of accomplishment in the field

iv) Must be either a student, teacher or researcher with a recognized institution
