The days are heating up and daily a mighty wind is blowing. Not only because of nature’s season change, but because of a spiritual timing within the ministry. Every day is precious and every day it is important to be obedient to all the Holy Spirit has asked us to do. Every day is a new day, full of new opportunities. To

live consumed with Him creating and depositing wherever we go the gift of Jesus within each one of us to increase and establish the Kingdom of God.

October has opened so many doors for all of us releasing more potential; Chris has been in the USA with Ps. Armando traveling blessed whilst Deborah continues to be busy teaching Gabriel, Ashira and Mikayla and has even found time to teach in the Vocational Centre. Pastor Lurdes (Ps. Armando’s wife) in Nampula continues teaching in the public schools and heading up evangelism teams out of Nampula wa Yesu covering Nampula City, Rod and Ellie have hit the USA at the same time the historical storm hit the east coast to embark on a new adventure at Miracle Faith Centre in Pensacola. The team is training youth, establishing the local church, preparing curriculum for next year. We are preparing for our trip to Australia that we make every 3 years to reconnect with friends and connect with new ones to share about Jesus in Mozambique. We are so grateful for this opportunity.

Jeff has had a busy month securing church properties within the local city council making sure 2012 closes with all of this tied up. Just as the Word states in Isaiah 32:18 “My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.” 2013 is going to be an incredible year as we plan to build some rental properties to support the school and also increase the apostolic visits to AWYesu churches. The calendar is already being planned and filling up, so if you have a desire to come and visit, please let us know.

Thank you, thank you for all of your fuel into all that is happening here in Mozambique. We pray abundant provision upon each one of you that will be released wherever you walk, run, bike, drive, work or fly.

The apostolic impartation that Mum and Dad brought was so timely and precise for our moment. It was just what we all needed, team, students, workers. The highlight was when they showed pictures of Pomene and told the story of ‘Satani’ getting saved! The workers all LOVED it – even the usually grim and quiet ones were rejoicing, singing and dancing after hearing the testimony! It is such an encouragement to all of us to know that we are part of something much bigger than just ourselves! The word about the government, or kingdom, of God being on our shoulders, and us being the civil servants who execute the will of the government, or Kingdom, was a big inspiration – and when something is inspired it is God-breathed, and God inspires your desire and gives you the power to fulfill what he has called you to do! Yes, it was just what we needed to remind us to finish our year strong and not falter before the finish line. We still have students and devotions until December 6th.

I am excited to be teaching Farming God’s Way to the students – I did a session with them on Monday and they all thoroughly enjoyed it, so we are taking two days out next week to cover the rest of it. I really believe that of all the good ideas and visions, that this one is the one that will truly make a difference, because it addresses the heart of the need of the people – FOOD. My mealie (corn) patch is coming along nicely! The stalks are all bigger than I am and are tasseling and growing baby cobs. It’s only been 2 ½ months! You would be amazed to see it.

ROD AND ELLIE IN NACALA Rod and

Ellie arrived to ignite everyone from workers to team through words of encouragement, a short video about Pomene, to team cell, to Spirit School, prayer times, and individual fellowship.

The following points were some personal keys we grasped throughout their visit:

1. Pentecost Agreement: The Pentecost was the ultimate function of unity. Unity was demonstrated with explosive power as a result. This moment brought the gifts alive (prophecy, miracles…) Before the explosion we live in “the hope of”. It all starts with us and our energy fortified by the confidence to declare what is to be.

2. “The Buck Stops Here”: USA President Harry Truman, led the nation in the late 1940’s early 1950’s. He was known as the “Man of Truth” who before any decision would ask God, “What do I want for my place?” We are all responsible for the Pentecost Agreement that is within us as we lead, redirect, counsel, teach, preach, during times of evangelism, worship as it effects every area of life. The commitment begins with us. “Don’t pass the buck!”

3. The Time to Demonstrate is NOW: Demonstrate with inspiration of a conviction of Truth. The Prophetic word within each one of us needs to be demonstrated not hidden. When Pentecost it demonstrated, it liberated faith and was a signal of unity and power.

JEFF’S SURF SHACKTHERE IS GREAT JOy IN THE SENDING!

In Luke Chapter 10 we read how Jesus instructed and then sent the 72 to go do the work of the ministry – proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God. They were to be the fore-runners, going ahead of Him preparing the areas to receive the Savior of the world. In verse 17 we read where they came back full of joy, exclaiming with joy that they saw and tasted the very power of the Holy Spirit in their ministry. We read how Jesus responded in verses 18 through 23. It says that Jesus,

“full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said ‘I praise you Father…’”.

These verses are so very powerful for me personally right now as I had just sent out my wife Nicole and two of our Bible School Teachers Valentim and Lucas to go preach and teach the good news of the Kingdom of God. They went to the far North province of Cabo Delgado to exhort, encourage and preach the Good News to the Afrika Wa Yesu church in that region. They came back with the same kind of report that the Disciples of Jesus did – Verse 17 “…Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”

Sitting in our home after their return I sat in amazement and great joy hearing all of the stories from Nicole, the stories of Jesus’ victories, His encouragement, freedom and the church’s growth. Each story was one more manifestation of the Power of God for the People of God. For example, the last night they showed the Jesus Film to an area “in the bush” outside the city of Macomia. During the film there was a lot of movement, noise, general disruption. But, when the end of the film came, when the call to salvation message was being given, there was complete silence, full attention by everyone to the words being spoken. There is power in the Word! The Word became flesh and walked among us. The Word sent the Spirit to anoint our words, our actions, so that we can manifest the Kingdom of God in our lives! That happened that night. Hallelujah!

Jesus told His disciples to wait for the anointing, the smearing of the anointing, in the first chapter of Acts. Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Mozambique!!!!).

My friends, it is time to walk in power and authority, in the name of Jesus. We have been called to do this, all of us. It doesn’t have to be stories that we hear, but stories that we are a part of! I can only imagine what it was like when those disciples came back and reported to Jesus. The joy in the camp had to be thick, capturing everyone, even those on the fringe. Then to see Jesus dancing for joy! Wow! Truly He is dancing for joy now, just as I did, because of the trip this small team took to the North. Everywhere we go, remember to point everyone to Jesus. It is because of Him we move.

DEBORAH SHARES…I am so pleased with how the VC has pulled together and run

itself along very smoothly without Chris. My thanks go out to Amimo for keeping an eye on the woodshop and making sure everyone is where they are supposed to be! To Nelson, for moving well with the students and keeping the projects going – To Jeosafa, for checking up on me and them! To the teachers for keeping the students stirred up, and Jeff and Nicky, for helping out in so many little ways and making a big difference with big things and little things. TEAMWORK!

~ Happy Birthday Rodney! Family gatherings are a highlight when we come together to fellowship. It was an amazing time to have Rod and Ellie here to impart into all of us. We are all blessed!

4. Transmission, demonstrating, connecting is a lifestyle. There is a need to lead with courage using a bold direction. A leader needs to lead to complete the purpose we are gifted with.

This verse sums it up for us personally:

“So now finish doing it as well, so that your readiness in desiring it may be matched by your completing it out of what you have.” 2 Corinthians 8:11

CABO DELGADOThe Makonde men and

women are strong, courageous, authoritative and bold. The warriors. Taking these characteristics and applying them to the Word will change Cabo Delgado and beyond the provincial border! Thus together we traveled north; Valentim, Lucas and myself for 5 glorious days to flow with the leadership in each area.

MACOMIAI had a woman’s meeting as Lucas

and Valentim evangelized and visited Vocational Centre alumni students. I was very encouraged to see 5 older saved Makonde women. This is so different from 3 years ago. The church has a plan to water baptize 5 women and others in a couple of weeks. The faces of the older women are covered with tattoos made from cuts that were then rubbed with ash to make the scar. These are signs from their youth, but the sign of their renewed youth is their joy, smiles and freedom.

Martha’s Testimony: Jesus completely healed Martha from a sickness she had for over 16 years. “I have gone for many tests, to many doctors from Beira to Pemba and the doctors didn’t know what the problem was as all of the appropriate tests were negative. I can barely walk from the pain and to come was difficult. But now I am like the woman with the issue of blood. I have touched Jesus!” Her faith connected with Jesus and she was healed as the sickness was commanded to leave her body.

Leader’s Meeting: In each location we used these meetings to encourage, exhort, pray together, and forgive one another. This all began with listening to each leader’s heart. Unity is the priceless key to the anointing and to moving forward effectively thus it needs to be secured and guarded wherever we go. I was impressed with the leadership who are youth. The leader Jackson is doing well as he leads the people, goes to school and manages his very successful carpentry shop. During this busy time in his life he is well supported by a good Evangelist, Youth Leader, Woman’s Leader and the body in general. Directly after the meeting we showed the Jesus film where 2 men received Jesus. One came to the church the next morning to receive more direction.

LIUKWE Our next camp

was at Liukwe, about 17 Kilometers north of Macomia. Mae Celina (Macomia Women’s Leader) and Evangelist Louis joined us for this portion of the trip. We arrived to a “diamond in the rough”. The church body had built a shade shelter as there is not one tree close by. 7 of the members of the church body are AWYesu alumni students. Aquimo is the leader who attended Afrika wa Yesu bible school student and then the Vocational Centre. His joy, a continual heart to serve his church and his compassion for the people was evident everywhere I looked. The excellent simplicity of the construction of the church, the benches made from free timber lying in the bush left by saw mill companies, a strong wooden door, and a completed roof testified to a caring leader. It all expressed the excellence of Jesus.

We opened our visit with a general night meeting. It was an overflowing House of God! Even the small church windows and opened door were full of grinning curious faces. During the next days, we met with the leadership, women and visited people to for evangelism. This leader knows his flock…he had mapped out exactly whose homes we needed to visit. We divided into three groups to be most effective. After evangelism we realized the church would not contain all the prospective people, so we moved it outside underneath the moonlight. Valentim led the evening’s anointed worship and Lucas preached with an explosive grounded Word.

The next day opened with questions regarding traditional ceremonies as they are a big factor in this area. The Church Body wanted to know how to respond to others when they were invited to Matanga. (A feast held after 40 days pass of someone’s

Makonde women of all generations! Transformed through salvation brings the evidence of eternal joy!

Mae Celina (left) is the Leader of Women at Macomia wa Yesu. As a powerful evange-list, it was Nicky’s personal pleasure to walk with her and teach with her.

Meet Liukwe wa Yesu. Teacher Valentim (standing left) and teacher Lucas (kneeling with cap) released their gifts of pastoring and evangelizing wherever we journeyed together. Lucas opened Liukwe 3 years ago when he was living in Macomia as an evangelist. He sent potential leaders to AWYesu bible school and now there is an AWYesu church standing for Truth.

} Jackson is a man of many hats. A graduate of the Vocational Centre and AWYesu Bible School/Nacala he is a youth who leads the Ma-comia wa Yesu church, studies at the local secondaria (high) school and manages a very successful carpentry shop. He has trained a helper for his woodshop (left) and as he makes doors and windows they quickly sell. He is applying not only the Word of God to everything he dos, but he is applying his car-pentry wisdom to help support his mother and his church.

There are generations of Makonde people to receive Jesus. The harvest is great, but the laborers few.

Arriving back to Liukwe, it had rained and unfortunately my tent had filled with a bucket of water. It proved, it is sealed from leaks, but it would have been better if the water remained outside. So at 22h, I slowly mopped it up, hung my pad, pillow and sleeping bag in a tree to drip, then boiled the kettle for a cup of tea. Looking up at the stars and the moon, I was so grateful to Jesus, our King, Valentim and Lucas who were such a pleasure to minister with and all the leaders. Valentim’s gifting of pastoring arose and Lucas’ gift of evangelist arose. At one point, I looked up and told my Jesus, “I am in my element!”

Leave the Kingdom of self and be completely embodied within the Kingdom of God for your purpose. There are so many souls praying, crying out in need of Jesus. 2013 promises to be an apostolic year that will surpass all other years. Greater effectiveness and a greater demonstration of Pentecost wherever we all go!

conversations with the people we realized that the people of Nguída hunger and thirst for the Word. The miracle is, at the first house we entered all that family accepted Jesus except the father of the house. We have learned so much on this trip.

Results of Word and Jesus movie:

• 14 people accepted Jesus Christ in movie night besides, people in converted houses.

• We heard after our exit Macomia that there was no Cell-Wa Yesu in Nguída.

• The Secretary of Nguída gave space for meetings in the cell-AWY Nguída. Thus we can say that there will be a cell Nguída because last Sunday we worshiped together to Thank God.

FIELD HUMORDuring one leadership meeting, we were enjoying a time of worship

as the drums were being played a sudden loud SLAP broke through. One of the drummers still praying in tongues slowly arose, walked to the curtain covered wall, and with the small piece of wood he was using to play the drum made a direct hit on a rat to promptly kill it. Grabbing it by the tail, slowly walking to the door all the while praying in tongues he threw it outside to casually seat himself down to once again continue

playing the drums and continue in prayer. “And the beat goes on!”

burial) The Word was our guide. We departed Liukwe in peace and encouraged. This “diamond in the rough” is taking a stand. The effectiveness of a leader with vision and plans using his carpentry skills learned at VC testified to what is truly possible.

NGUIDADriving for 30 minutes

to 4x4 through sandy roads and through rivers, we went up and over the escarpment in our packed out car (of which quickly became too small) to arrive at Nguida. This is a new location Liukwe has presently opened. Unfolding out of the car, everyone took off with excitement to evangelize the people and announce the film. I remained back

“to observe everyday life” in Nguida which soon became a time to minister to the children. Using the Swahili Jesus film (we were far enough north in Mozambique to have the Tanzanian influence) we ministered a first time showing to a crowd of about 800. We prayed as it seems our projector of 13 years possibly was about to show its last film. It was a night of agitation as the youth were using this gathering to fulfill their own worldly desires. The team started to intercede. The power in the Word and Jesus was confirmed when the leadership started the evangelism call, and the crowd suddenly became quiet. There were 14 salvations throughout the evangelism time and the movie. One new convert kept walking away from his ‘old friends’ as they mocked and taunted him because of his decision to receive Jesus.

Teachers Valentim and Lucas imparted valuable leadership counsel at each meeting. Liukwe wa Yesu’s leader is the Aquimo seated with the orange shirt with stripes with his wife and son to the left. The Evangelist, Cosimo, is to the left of the post in a beige shirt. He was showing the Jesus film in his home and a man became agitated and hit his face with his head. Cosimo’s 2 front teeth have fallen out because of the incident. We declared new teeth to grow in their place and together are believing for this creative miracle.

A packed-out car full of joy, anointing and anticipation for the evangelism outing at Nguida. Each one of these men is an alumni from either Inhaminga or Nacala Bible School. Now they are leaders, planting cells, teaching and growing the Kingdom of God.

Lucas is at home with the Makonde youth. During his time as an evangelist living in Macomia, he learned the Makonde language thus making his evangelism a direct hit. Youth to youth!

Here is the bush as we call it here that you frequently read about in our newsletters. This was our scenery from Liukwe to Nguida. Traveling sandy 4x4 roads, through rivers and up mountains, we arrived to a new place to share about Jesus.
