REELINE hoses
In compliance with GMPHOM 2009 and API 17K.
A cost effective solutionTwice long service life: up to 10 years.Double layer reel wind up.Minimized inspection and maintenance.Lightweight and highly flexible allowing reeling system with overall compact dimensions and smaller unity power.Continuous external diameter to prevent from hose damage.Flanges fully embedded in rubber to eliminate corrosion.High performances regarding tension, bending and collapse loads. No stress concentration in the flange area.Designed to smoothly integrate marine breakaway coupling.
Specific design for reeling systemThe exclusive Trelleborg hose design proposes field-proven solutions to eliminate stress, bending loads concentration and ensure perfect sealing:
● continuous inner liner, ● internal and external integrated rubber gaskets, ● specific structure with integral reinforced flanges, bending stiffener at each end and steel rings reinforcement,
● flanges with bolt indent and bolting protection system.
Specific design for reeling system. Twice long service life (up to 10 years). Available in dual and double carcass.

General data/Design
Reinforced flangesThe reinforced flange is made of two different parts: an integrated bending stiffener and steel ring reinforcement. This gives a perfect and smooth bending process, avoiding stress concentration and excessive fatigue due to either the connection or the environment. The manufacture consists in using steel plates fixed on steel cable layers. The steel cable, bonded within the hose, provides a highly resistant structure to both pressure and axial forces. The extra reinforced flange is used for severe environmental conditions like connecting to a manifold. It also increases the offloading line service life. Flanges are drilled according to ASME B16.5 Class 150 or Class 300.Quick and easy connection to manifold or between two hoses can be done by adding lifting pad eyes on the spool piece.
Integrated bending stiffener (IBS)The integrated bending stiffener allows transmitted stress to be progressively released and therefore reduces fatigue and increases the hose service life.
Continuous inner liner and integrated gasketsREELINE hoses integrate a continuous inner liner made of NBR rubber and integrated gaskets on each flange. This offers a full sealing solution, preventing from product migration in the hose structure. A special inner liner could be proposed for specific fluid upon request. Both reinforced and extra reinforced flanges have an external gasket preventing from seawater corrosion.
Steel cables layersTrelleborg hoses exclusively use steel cables layers derived from trucks tires technology. Steel cable layers are separated in two carcasses: main carcass and reinforcement carcass (dual carcass design). The main carcass is made of steel cable layers wounded at the angle of equilibrium and withstands normal pressure rating.Permanent elongation is nil, providing evidence of the excellent elasticity of the hose body, and resulting in highest resistance to fatigue. The reinforcement carcass is made of steel cable layers overlaying a thick rubber filling, increases the resistance to tension loads and protects the main carcass from eventual excessive loads.
Steel ring reinforcementFor a better resistance to tension loads, high external differential pressures or extreme bending loads, steel ring reinforcements are incorporated within the two carcasses. These rings are made of high strength steel allowing them to retain their original body shape even when hoses are subject to extreme stresses.
Double carcass and leak detection system (LDS)REELINE hoses are available in double carcass design to prevent from any leakage due to internal damage.Double carcass is made of steel cable layers overlaying a thick rubber filling and foam material on top of the reinforcement carcass. An exclusive leak detection system, mechanical or electronic, is integrated at the end of the double carcass hoses extra reinforced flange.
