The 2020 Redstones Film Festival will take place at the Tsai Performance Center on Friday, April 3rd.There will also be a Redstones screening in Los Angeles. LA finalists are judged separately and only top three finalists selected will be screened. The award winners in Boston will not necessarily be the award winners in Los Angeles.

The Redstones Festival is a juried event. There will be a pre-screening of all entries by a selection committee which will choose projects to be submitted to a panel of media professionals for judging. Submitting your application and project does not guarantee that it will be selected.

In order to participate, students must meet all of the following criteria:

1) Submission must have been produced as required curriculum within a COM Film and Television production course. Accepted coursesare: FT353 Production I, FT402 Production II, FT468 Production III, FT505 Hothouse Productions, FT544 Documentary Production,FT555 NarDoc, FT 589 Advanced Production Workshop, and FT707 Video Production I. Additionally, CMP graduate thesis films and projectscreated in the Looking China program may be submitted.Projects done as part of a directed study or done as an individual, extra-curricular project are not eligible.

2) All Entry Submissions must be uploaded by Friday, January 31st.3) Submission must include College of Communication, Department of Film and Television end credit. (download @ sites.bu.edu/ftcine)4) Submission Process and Guidelines must be followed. Failure to adhere to submission Deadline, Process, or Media Specificationsmay delay submission and disqualify entry. Questions may be forwarded to the Film and Television Production Coordinator. 5) Crew projects from FT402 Production 2 must be submitted with names and approval from those who received a grade for their work. Awards for1st, 2nd, 3rd place will be shared by the group. With agreement of the crew, awards for specific categories (screenplay, cinematography,editing, sound design, etc.) can be awarded to the person with that position and credit.

6) All projects must be free of copyright violations. Projects containing copyrighted material owned by non-BU students (music, lyrics,stock footage, adapted story, or script) must submit a copy of the release from the copyright holder with the application.

7) Students may enter more than one project per year, but no project may be submitted more than once. The work must have beencompleted within the past three years.

8) If your entry is chosen for the Festival, you will be asked to provide the following;• 20-30 second trailer (.mov, H264)• 10-20 Production Stills. (300dpi .png or .jpg)• 2 Thumbnail graphics with movie title. (72dpi, .png or .jpg) 1 @ 1280x720 and 1 @ 300x300
