Hey everybody! This is a clarion call to all my sisters and brothers in Christ and

those of you who are on your way back home. I think it goes without saying

that God really loves you in spite of how you feel about yourself or what

anybody says that is to the contrary. You gotta know that He really does love

you.

That being said, Red Wine Magazine is poised and focused on writing articles

that will reach out to you where you are at. That is why we are free. We want

to talk to you and this is how we are doing it. But we don’t want a one-sided

conversation, we want you to talk back, tell us what you are in need of, what’s

on your heart. Whether it is wisdom, knowledge, understanding, love, or

patience. We are getting ready to talk about a variety of topics that are of

interest to people.

I have a question for you. Have you heard from God lately? Has He dropped

anything in your spirit or anointed you to do something? I ask because He has

been telling me the rapture is coming. I don’t know the day or the hour. No

man knows because if they did, they would be selling tickets. Everyone is

interested in meeting God, how about you? Help me write. Tell about

something God has done for you. You prayed secretly and it manifested in the

natural or if God has befriended you and brought you out of something, you

owe it to tell people the magnificence of God so they can seek Him to get the

help they need. Please share your story with us. God bless you! Looking

forward to hearing from you. From my heart to yours.

C A N C E R - Those cold letters do not reign supreme. So many people are afraid of hearing the words “You have cancer”, that they won’t even go to the doctor. There are others who go to the doctor and are caught completely off guard when they receive a diagnosis of cancer. I originally wrote my book How I Beat Cancer because my secretary asked me to write a small pamphlet that she could give to people when she visited cancer clinics. And so I agreed. What started out as a small pamphlet containing words of encouragement and some “how-to” tips to survive cancer, turned into a 46 page book about my personal life and experience with cancer. I am sharing How I Beat Cancer with the world because I want mothers, fathers, grandmothers and even doctors to know that there is a cure for cancer. It’s just that

science doesn’t hold the answer. The one who has the awesome cure is God.

Scientists are not completely sure what causes cancer. They conduct vigorous research and have increased understanding about the behavior of cancer cells, but a cure is not yet here. I am not a physician and I don’t pretend to tell physicians or scientists what to do. What I do know is God. I know that God speaks the ultimate truth. And once you know that, you realize that you don’t have to know exactly how things go wrong in the body, because God will show you how to be healed, how to be cured of cancer.

God cured me of cancer. And I am still so humbled by it. I have so much gratitude to God because a cousin of mine, who was my age, was diagnosed with colon cancer at the same time I was diagnosed. She died and I didn’t. It takes me places you could never

understand when I think about how God chose me.

How I Beat Cancer is my personal life story and testimony about my battle with cancer with God by my side. The book tells you how to fight cancer with God. I am not knocking chemotherapy or any other modern day treatments. It was not my choice because I believe chemotherapy kills the good with the bad. God was my choice and I am all the more better for it. So when you are undergoing the medical interventions you choose, take this book along and use the spiritual medication that you find within its pages. You will receive the kind of life-saving results you deserve.

Sounds like some kind of intimate, romantic interlude, doesn’t it? Well it is to be honest. So many people don’t even understand how this can be possible. Just walk down the street one day and ask anybody who’s a Christian, “How could you be in Him and Him in you at the same time?” Funny thing is, there is going to be a lot of people who wear the label of Christian who don’t even understand that concept themselves. It’s sort of an oxymoron. But it is a deeply passionate and intimate concept. is is the best relationship you could ever have. With all of the relationships we have had from friends we’ve had problems with over the years who weren’t really even your friend. ey maybe gossiped about you or gave you ill advice. To the family members who legitimize the saying, “With family like them who needs enemies.”

I believe that at the core, most people are not bad. But our situations, circumstances and life events have caused us to behave certain ways to put it lightly. But with all that is going on in the world today, the sicknesses and diseases we need help. Every time you turn around our friends or someone in our family is being diagnosed with cancer, diabetes, or heart disease. Babies are being born sick. Now this new virus has come from another country to the US, Zika, that mosquitos carry. I am surprised we let mosquitos live, they have carried so many diseases and viruses in the last 30 years alone.

But now that we have all of things we are confronted with, real serious issues on a daily basis, we are facing warfare y’all. Down

to the foods we eat and how they are grown and processed. You need protection. When I say that it reminds me of when people say wear protection if you are going to be intimate so you don’t get pregnant or catch any STD’s. However, as crude as that sounds, you need protection for your life, your family and your friends.

What I want to talk to you about is something that is especially potent and protective for you. Now you can’t fool me. You need a counselor, a doctor, someone strong enough to protect you and that can see all around you at 360 degrees. I know you need it because I need it and there is only one person who can see above and below you. You can’t do that and no human can. But God can! Oh yes!

THE HOLY SPIRIT came back to earth

on purpose to

EMPOWER YOU.

God has a whole plan setup just for you, it is fail-proof. All you have to do is get in Him and let Him in you. e love letter He wrote to you says, “For in him we live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28). at’s specically talking about a Believer who has accepted God and is hidden now in Him. I told you this is a little like an oxymoron. When you accept God in your life and proceed to walk with Him and tell Him your problems and situations. And talking to Him about your life and following what He says everything changes. But once you accept God, He hides you inside of Him. Isn’t that the ultimate protec-tion?

WHO CAN BEAT GOD?

First of all, He is invisible, you can’t even nd Him! And then He is omnipotent, which means all powerful, sovereign. He reigns over everything. Even over hell and satan. So God is your place of protection. You want your past to stop nding you and traumatizing you, get in God and let Him kill your past. He’s the only One who can separate your past from your now and your future.

Listen to this, if God can separate heaven from hell, can’t He separate your past from your today? ink about it, it makes plenty of sense. You may not understand how, but He can and He will. at’s great right there! at should put a smile on your beautiful face.

e “Him in you” part is another awesome, adventurous concept. God comes and lives in you. I want to give you another example. Now for those of you who are religious, you may freak out and think I am being disrespectful but I am not. Remember I Dream of Jeannie? I used to love that show growing up. Barbara Eden was Jeannie and she’d go in and out of that bottle. I loved that bottle, I am a designer so the design appealed to me and still does. But just like when she would turn into smoke and go into the bottle or come out of the bottle, well that’s like what God does because He is a spirit so He can do that.

And by the way, He created that awesome vessel called your body and so He knows where the door is. He goes right inside of you when you accept Him because the greatest place to protect you is from inside of you. Your heart! He has got to get in there and cleanout the stu that has been said and done to you even by yourself. at is the best place for Him to go, inside your heart and spirit. You don’t have to worry about a doctor nding your spirit. If you need surgery on your spirit, a doctor can’t nd it but God can. is is beyond science. is should make you think. I am telling you how to get Him in you and you in Him. is is food for thought. It is also the greatest protection that exists. In Ephesians 6, He gives you an armor to put on, things that you must do to be fully protected at all times.

Remember it is about you being in Him rst and then He will be in you.

God bless you! Dr. Diana

BLESSING the

of Legs:Divine Access

Brings Divine PromisesHow many things do you have in your house right now that you don’t even use anymore? For that much, how many things have you bought on a whim, impulsively, and once you got it home and took a good look at it, you decided it had lost its appeal. You may even put it away and say you will use it later. Most of us have stu around us in every place we occupy that we don’t want or need. Relationships are important because without them life would be pretty boring but we even have some relationships we don’t want or need.

ere are some relationships we have that have no real purpose, they do not advance us or help promote us to the success we need. Anyone who doesn’t add to your life takes away from your life. It is important that we look at our relationships from time to time and disconnect from those that bring a lot of problems into our lives. Sometimes it is family. But you have to back o even though they may talk about you. ere are already people talking about you and it doesn’t stop your blessings. It doesn’t mean that you don’t love them.

7 I Red Wine

BLESSING GOD IS LIKE OUR LEGS.

He will carry us to the place we need to go even when

we don’t know the direction to go

and have no signs to

GUIDE US.

8 I Red Wine

Relationships in your life should help you to be fruitful. at is why a connection or a hook-up, as the young people call it, is very important. Because a relationship with Him allows you to see into corners, dark corners sometimes, that you wouldn’t otherwise be able to see. It is like getting a new pair of glasses to help you see better. God allows you to see better through your relationship with Him. You have to ask if you need God in your life and come to the realization that you do, we all do. Ask yourself if there are areas in your life that you cannot gure out. Are you confused or distraught? Do you keep getting into the same type of situations or relationships? You say you are going to do better but it doesn’t happen that way. Can you have this conversation with yourself?

If so, you need God because He can see in the future and tell you now where you should not walk, who you should become friends with, what job you shouldn’t take because it will create a lot of problems. You need God to see into your future for you and cut o your past because your past will keep dogging your steps reminding you of things that hurt or traumatize you. Or remind you of things you can no longer have. You need new ideas and concepts. You need to build a team to nally launch that new business. God gave you legs! Touch your legs right now. Do you know how important they are?

Let me remind you of a story in the Bible. In John 5 we hear of a man who couldn’t walk so he resided near the pool of Bethesda where the angel would come down and stir the waters and whoever got in the water rst would be healed. is man couldn’t walk so he couldn’t get in the pool to get his healing because he needed someone to put him down in there. His complaint was that every time the angel stirred up the waters, someone gets in before him. So he missed out every time. If he had had some legs that worked he’d have jumped a fence to get to that water before anybody else.

YOUR LEGS are one of the most

important things you will ever have. ey take you to places

you need to go but they can also take you to places you

SHOULDN’T BE.

So your relationship with your legs is very important. You need to take care of them. It is the same with God. Your relationship with God can carry you where you need to go. It can tell you great things about yourself, like how you were made. A special relationship with God will help you to know what direction to take in your life no matter what you are confronted with. Just think about it.

For instance, you are looking for a building; you have the address but don’t know which way the numbers run on the street. So you are standing there looking at street signs and the numbers on the buildings. So you choose to go to the le but as you are walking you discover that you are going the wrong way. You made a decision to go that way and your legs carried you there. But then you decide this is the wrong direction, so when you turned around your legs carried you the other direction. And then you reach the place you want.

God is like our legs. He will carry us to the place we need to go even when we don’t know the direction to go and have no signs to guide us. Just like our physical legs which are a blessing, God is like our spiritual legs, we can go in any direction He needs us to go. He will carry you, direct and lead you.

In fact, He said in His Word that He would give you every place the sole of your

foot treads upon (Joshua 1:3). Just as important as your physical legs are, your spiritual legs, your relationship with God, is more important. Just as I am talking to you through this article is the same way you need to talk to God because a divine relationship will bring divine access to you. Don’t struggle unnecessarily, just ask God to come into your life. And really desire to have Him there. You need that special relationship with Him. Believing in God is not enough. You have to invite Him, like you do a friend to a party, into your life, into your house for dinner.

Tell the Lord, “I want to invite you into my life, my heart and my family and everything I have. I want you to be Lord over all that I am and all that I have.” at is the place you need to go and your life will change. Sparks will y, angels will rejoice and God will come to your house with a gi wrapped with a bow. When He brings that gi it is from His heart, it is called salvation. And He will save you from whatever is trying to take you out right now. Whether it is sickness, addiction, problems in your family, debt. No matter, God will save you sweetie. He did it for me over and over and over. Please, I am begging you to invite Him. God bless!

If you read Red Wine Magazine with any frequency, you know there are numerous articles on how to get rid of relationships in your life that do not benet you. at is an important step in cultivating your relationship with God.

However, today I would like to speak to leaders in ministry. ose of you who hold a leadership position in your church or have your own ministry. In our personal lives, we can easily do some housekeeping with our relationships. But in ministry sometimes we have to work with people who may appear to think dierently from us, even seem dicult to work with in our opinion. But because of the assignment of God we cannot dismiss them but must learn to reconcile our feelings.

Moses had an intimate relationship with God. He spent time on the mountain with God and He even saw God’s backside. But He had to lead the Israelites who were complainers and struggled with faith in God. Even His own brother Aaron made the golden calf in Moses’ absence knowing that God doesn’t like idols (Exodus 32). Moses was not better than anyone; He just had a close relationship with God that motivated him to behave in a certain way.

But Moses, despite his relationship with God, did not go into the Promised Land (Numbers 20). e Israelites were without water and came to Moses to complain. Basically saying why did you take us out of Egypt and bring us into this desert to die? e Lord told Moses to speak to the rock and water would come out. But Moses was so frustrated with Israel that he called them rebels and complained that he must bring water out of the rock for them. Instead of speaking to the rock, he struck it twice.

Moses got so upset with their behavior that he disobeyed God. God told Moses because you disobeyed Me and didn’t show the people My glory; you will not enter into the Promise Land.

is is a lesson for every leader. As a leader, you must show the people God’s glory and compassion and overcome any frustration or disappointment. I completely understand that we as leaders can want so much for people, want them to be all they can be in God that when they seem to get on the wrong path, you get so frustrated. Moses fervently wanted them to trust God. But I have had to learn that everyone’s walk is dierent and some people will take the long route and others with take the twisted road. You just have to trust that God will get them to where they need to be. So just pray, love them and show them a more excellent way every time you have the opportunity.

You must learn this balance or else your frustration will cause you to stumble as it did Moses. is revelation saved my life! Leaders can burn out from the frustration or worse, slip into pride or even anger.

But instead, seek WISDOM from GOD and have patience with everyone, especially YOURSELF.

I spend a lot of time in airports. As you walk from one gate to another you witness a gamut of human emotions. Some people are there to say hellos and others are there to say goodbyes. ere are people lled with anticipation for the start of a much needed vacation while others are full of dread facing another week on the road for work.

You may chuckle at this but your home church should be a little like the airport. First of all, it should be a place that transports you in the spirit. rough the teaching and preaching, you should go higher in the Lord with every day that goes by.

And you should have a wide range of experiences. If you are leaving every service happy with a tune in your head, I must tell you that this not necessarily a good thing. e Bible tells us, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12).

12 I Red Wine

Every time we encounter God’s Word, we will not walk away intensely happy. Because we are human and we sin and can be oppressed by demonic spirits, there will be times when we recognize just how far we are from the glory of God. Instead of happy, we may walk away pensive. inking about how we can improve our service.

Just like in the airport, we may go to church to say goodbye to some old habits and ways of thinking. And say hello to a new way of living. Sometimes you can get caught up in worship and other times the Holy Spirit presses you to pray warfare prayers quietly throughout the worship service.

What comes forth from the pulpit should be what is on God’s mind and heart for that church. And you do not have to be a Bible scholar to know that God does not always leave us with a “happy” word. ere are times when God has to show us where we displease Him so we can get better. My Pastor taught me to always ask God what He wants to say to the church because woe unto any preacher or teacher that tells the people all is well when it is not (Luke 6:26).

We are living in dangerous times. It is so important that you be in a church that preaches and teaches the truth. You want leaders who care about your soul over your emotions.

I have had to hear some things about myself that hurt my feelings but ultimate helped me work out my soul salvation. And that is what really matters. So I implore you to rst ask God if you are in the the church He wants you in. We go to churches for so many reasons and leave for so many more reasons. Tradition, convenience and notoriety. But none of those things matter if you are displaced.

Find out where God wants to plant you because the

rich soil of that church

will contain everything you need to grow and

I sat stunned as I stared at my computer. I couldn’t believe the headlines. David Bowie had died of cancer. I was shocked because I had not heard anything about him being sick. Plus it was David Bowie. To my tween self still buried somewhere in this.

While I haven’t listened much in the past 20 years, I was a fan of Bowie in the 80’s. In college I discovered the early stu but my fondest memories are being a kid in the 80’s watching Bowie on MTV. I thought he was soooo handsome. I know, I was a silly teenage girl though. I was a teenage kid who suered from depression and felt quite isolated from the world. I would escape into my room and turn on the music and dress up like Cyndi Lauper and just dance all my cares away by myself. I had no siblings and few friends.

So when I began to read about his life in the wake of his death, the theme that came up again and again was that he was actually

quite isolated and lonely for much of his life. e sense of not belonging drove him to be more than just a singer. He went beyond his talent to create personas as much for himself as for the public. When he did nd his second wife and settled down, he actually became a home-body desiring to engage in normal ‘dad’ and

‘husband’ stu the last decade of his life. I had two thoughts. First that I hope the reports were genuine, that he had really found some peace and acceptance in his life. And secondly I became very aware of how dierent my life is now.

I lived in such a state of isolation and hopelessness for so long.

And I didn’t have a talent that opened a door for me to express it through singing or acting. So I had to live with it, carry it around and watching almost like a prisoner as it robbed me of the life I wanted.

But something better that stardom happened for me. I heard about Jesus Christ. I know some of you are shaking your heads, thinking, “Here we go with the cliché.” But my life is not a cliché.

It is a solid, true, documented example

of the power of Jesus Christ

I even experience anxiety. But what has changed is that I have hope. I know that whatever I am facing, I have hope that I will get through it through the power of Christ Jesus. at is something I did not have for a long time in my life.

I can know that I am alone in a room or even alone in my view on something but I do not feel that isolation any more. In fact, I feel very connected to the world in the sense that I am constantly asking God to save people. I am acutely aware of their suering and it drives me to go to God and ask Him to relieve them just like He relieved me. In Christ I was able to move from isolation to inspiration.

I know that David Bowie and I were not alone. If you are reading this and feel isolated from the world, I want you to know there is hope. You don’t have to create alter egos or sell millions of records. And you don’t have to marry a model. You simply have to reach out to God and ask to be connected to Him. at is what I did and it saved my life for sure.

I saw a commercial for one of those cancer treatment centers the other night. e woman in the commercial said she was diagnosed with cancer but wasn’t afraid to die. She was only getting treatment because she had children.

But here’s the thing. Faith in Christ isn’t something that is just supposed to give you peace with death. Faith in Christ gives you the power to overcome death. We are not supposed to be afraid of death. at is true because Christ overcame death for us (2 Tim 1:10). But we are also not supposed to sit idly by and let disease and stress destroy us.

Accepting Christ and serving God does not mean you will never face dicult decisions, obstacles and even down right attacks. What it means is that you are equipped to navigate through these things and come out with a greater faith and a powerful testimony. e Bible tells us that we will suer spiritual violence but we can ght back with spiritual weapons (Matthew 11:12; 2 Corinthians 10:4).

When faced with a cancer diagnosis or any other sickness, as a Christian you have the right to confess, “I will not die but live and declare the works of the Lord.” (Psalm 118:17). ere are countless accounts of how God heals people who were slated by medical science to die.

We have to ght the good ght of faith. When faced with dicult situations we do not have to throw up our hands and give up. We can go to God and ask that His will be done and commit to walking in obedience to His will.

If I could talk to the woman in the commercial I would encourage her to ght for her life because Christ “was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5). She should ght because her victory will empower someone else to ght. So whatever you are facing, know that in Christ you have the right and the tools needed to ght and come out on the other side richer in faith.

UNWRAPPEDTIME To Get

A GHOST FROM THE PAST:

We all talk about things from the past. Sometimes they are good memories and sometimes not. Recently, my secretary spent some time with my sister in NYC at a knitting conference. Before that they had been spending time together across several months whenever my secretary was in the area where my sister resides. So with my blessing, my sister and her spent some time together. And I would send money to take my sister out.

Growing up in my household was unpleasant. I had siblings but I did not have a lot of favor with them, I am the baby. I was unliked. It was a severely dysfunctional family and God had to

be with me for me to make it out of there.I had really bad eczema growing up. ank God I don’t have it now but growing up it was dicult. I don't have happy memories of being in that house. My happy memories are outside of the house with friends and with people I made my family over the years. I’ve heard it said that there are two types of family, the one you are born into and the one that you make. I like the one that you make because then it’s by choice. You choose those people because they gave you something that represented family to you.

16 I Red Wine

So my sister and my secretary were spending time together having a lot of fun and laughs. My sister is much older; she is the oldest in the family. One day at this knitting event, my sister, who can be a little strange, said something to my secretary about my past and it was not favorable. It was uncalled for and in fact had nothing to do with what they were discussing.

When my secretary came home telling me about the visit, she said had to preface this conversation with “Don’t get mad.” You know when someone tells you that you have to brace yourself. She began to tell me what my sister said and her response was that that’s not what happened; this is how it went down. Her response upset my sister and my sister started acting funny towards her.

My sister usually calls me aer these visits but she didn’t this time. When I heard what my sister said, I suddenly realized what eect the past can have on you. It took me a long time to work through all the things that happened to me at the hands of my siblings and other family. So I really didn’t want to hear that. In fact it was more like, “Here we go again!”

is was a ghost from the past. ere are people all over the world still traumatized and stuck because of things that happened to them in their childhood. ey haven’t worked through it or perhaps they have gone to therapists or counselor. But they still walk around with ghosts of things that happened to

them. What they are demonic spirits and they oppress you.

It is like being wrapped up like a gi. What we see is that bow and wrapping. Well the same way a person walks around with anger, depression, and severe obesity, they are wrapped up with those things. ey are related to some things that have happened to them that has brought them to that place in life. Demonic spirits are types of ghost that stay in your life until they are evicted.

I know you all are familiar with demons. ere are all kinds of movies about poltergeists and demons that possess people. Many people love those movies which really do aect you because demons are opportunistic to get into your life and oppress you. ey are very stealth and they bank on you not knowing they are there. Because once you know they are there you can work on getting them out.

How do you get them out? Glad you asked! You can’t just tell a demon to get out and he goes. You have to have some resident power in you and a connection to God so that when you speak to that demon he has to go.

To be continued.Dr. Diana

18 I Red Wine

If you’re being oppressed by ghost from the past, it is time to evict them. How do we successfully do that? It is not an easy thing but it can be done, I have done it over the years. ere are steps you can take but if you are not a Christian, then don’t do this because you could end up worse o than you were before.

ere is a scripture that tells us when a demon goes out into dry places, he then decides he’s going back to his house and bring seven worse with him (Matthew 12:23). Jesus said this and we know He doesn’t lie. He was talking to us, you and me, people like us. If you were to kick these demons out you would start to look and feel better, they sometimes make your physical appearance look dierent and not for the better. So once you start to kick them out your physical appearance can begin to change. I know many of you haven’t heard of this but it is Bible and it is true.

But if you haven’t invited God in, those demons are going to come back because there is no power greater than them in your life to keep them out. e only way to make sure they stay out is to invite the Lord inside of you rst because

GOD gives us all the

power overthe enemy and nothing by any means

shall harm us (Luke 10:19).

You need power to kick the enemy out so that he doesn’t continue to drag your past into your future. You may feel you have moved on because you get up and eat and sleep every day. You may have a new wardrobe, boyfriend, got married moved to another city, whatever. But that is not really moving on.

Not if you are stuck with the same troubling thoughts, sickness, illness or other mental and emotional things you have struggled with for years. You are not living a vibrant life, you are not happy. You may laugh at things you may see they are funny. But Jesus came that you may have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). So have an abundant life! What are you just getting by

for? ose ghosts from the past need to go.

Grab a pen and paper and start looking at the things that ght you on a daily basis, especially thoughts from the past that are negative that do nothing but stagnate you or slow you down or make you hurt and feel sadness and a heartache. All the things that have happened to you in the past that have hurt you and aected your relationships can go and go today. Right now. But you have to take step number.

Invite the Lord into your life. is is not a joke. Your life is not a joke, no one is laughing. Especially you. But you have to do it from your heart. Ask Him from your heart to come into your life and keep calling Him until He shows up. Tell Him your problems, what you need to be delivered from. He is the spirit of liberty. Invite Him into your heart, into your life. Tell Him He can be your Lord and Master and teach you how to pray. And purify you.

en start telling those demons to go! If you struggle with depression, tell that demon “I bind you in the Name of Jesus. You have got to go.” at is your inheritance. Deliverance is the children’s bread (Matthew 15:26). You can cast out these ghosts from the past and anything that may try to take a hold of you in the future though I hope nothing does.

Just let God ll you! Be blessed!
