Indicator specification
Data set uncertainty-Two red lists - compiled using the same version of the IUCN categories and criteria (Version 3.1, IUCN 2001), and are therefore comparable. - BUT!!! in the compiling of the 2003 Red List, the guidelines for the application of the IUCN criteria at the regional level (IUCN 2003) were not employed, as these guidelines were only published by the IUCN for the first time in that same year- in 2003 the criteria for (NT) species were defined differently and the category Data Deficient (DD) species were incorrectly treated as one of the threatened categories-the changes of category for most species are the result of more precise application of the IUCN criteria and the application of the regional guidelines

Red List Index of species survival. An RLI value of 1.0 equates to all species being categorised as Least Concern, and hence that none are expected to go extinct in the near future. An RLI value of zero indicates that all species have gone Extinct. N= 131 non-Data Deficient extant species at start of period.

Conclusions:
-EXERCISE was usefull because:
-Getting a good insight with all the documents, reports, web pages and data connected to indicators
-Getting familiar with SEBI indicators
-Getting a zoom in on Red list index indicator for future options
