WHAT IS THE RECYCLESMART APP?

For the first time, just about every Council in Australia has an invaluable resource that brings recycling into the digital age, empowering communities to recycle more consciously.

Built in collaboration with Planet Ark, RecycleSmart is Australia’s most comprehensive recycling app that answers the all important question ‘how do I recycle this?’ for over 200 items covering over 500 Councils in Australia.

Users access information detailing correct disposal of common waste items and where necessary, explains why a particular method of disposal is appropriate.

RecycleSmart is a mobile HTML5 app coded with the latest framework on the market. Thanks to WEB technologies it can be easily replicated onto many different platforms, including iOS, Android and Desktop). The app fetches the data stored on RecycleSmart Servers and serves it to devices via RecycleSmart’s APIs.
