WCD Ministry launches ‘#Childline1098’ Contest

डबू्ल्यसीडी मंत्रालय ने '# चाइल्डलाइन 1098' प्रतियोतििा शुरू की

• The Ministry of Women and Child Development has

launched a contest, #Childline1098, inviting people

to share images of the Childline 1098 logo that they

spot at unique locations and send it with a tagline, to

mark World Day against Trafficking in Persons on

July 30.

• CHILDLINE is India's first 24-hour, free,

emergency phone service for children in need of aid

and assistance. At present, it is operational at 450

locations.

• In order to address various aspects of trafficking in

terms of its prevention, protection and rehabilitation

of victims, the Ministry drafted the comprehensive

Draft Trafficking of Persons (Prevention, Protection

& Rehabilitation) Bill, 2018, which was approved by

the Cabinet in February, 2018, and is expected to be

approved by the Parliament in the Monsoon Session.

• मतिला एवं बाल तवकास मंत्रालय ने #Childline1098 प्रतियोतििा का शुभारम्भ तकया िै,तिसमे लोिो कोआमंतत्रि तकया िया िै तक वि Childline 1098 के तलए

प्रतिक तचन्ह बभेिे और साथ िी उस लोिो के अनुसार

तचत्र भेिे, 30 िुलाई को व्यक्तियों की िस्करी के

क्तिलाफ तवश्व तिवस के रूप में मनाया िायेिा।

• बच्ों की सिायिा करने िेिु भारि की पिली 24 घंटे, तन: शुल्क, आपािकालीन फोन सेवा िै। वितमान में, यि450 स्थानों पर काम कर रिा िै।

• पीत़ििों की रोकथाम, संरक्षण और पुनवातस के संिभत में

िस्करी के तवतभन्न पिलुओं को संबोतिि करने के तलए

मंत्रालय ने फरवरी, 2018 में कैतबनेट द्वारा अनुमोतििव्यक्तियों (रोकथाम, संरक्षण और पुनवातस) तविेयक, 2018 के तबल को पास तकया िया था, और मानसून सत्रमें संसि द्वारा अनुमोतिि िोने की उम्मीि िै।

Sports Ministry doubles pension amount for international medallists

• An Olympic medallist is now entitled to a pension of

Rs 20,000 per month with the Sports Ministry

doubling the amount following a revision in its

pension policy.

• A medal winner at Paralympics will also be entitled

to the same amount as an Olympic medallist.

• At present, the government gives lifelong pension to

588 players under the scheme of ‘Pension to

Meritorious Sportspersons.‘

• A gold medallist in a World Cup or at the Asian

Games will get Rs 16,000, a silver medallist Rs

14000 and a bronze medal winner will get Rs

12,000.

• Olympic and Para Olympic medallists will get a sum

of Rs 20,000 per month each
