Recreational Areas Design

• As the name suggest, a recreational area is a place where people go in order to relax and to “restore” their energies.

What exactly is a Recreational Area?

• Obviuosly a recreational area must be a nice place where people like to go and sometimes nice means also “strange” or even “Fantasmagoric”.

• Many architets have projected areas inspired to various themes like e.g. Horror or Fairy Tales.

So how does “Design” connect to “Recreational Areas” ?

• In Italy the most important recreational areas are the fun parks of Gardaland and Mirabilandia.

• They were built around 1990 and soon became one of the biggest attraction for children and adults.

• The Parks have been projected to impress the customer with various attractions and the complexity of the landscapes.
