The Villages Recreation Department welcomes you to a world of fun, friendships and learning! Our team of recreation specialists and volunteers are here to help you explore the variety of servicesand facilities we offer to enhance your active lifestyle in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown!

Very often the first stage of your learning adventures will take place in the classrooms of TheVillages Lifelong Learning College. There, you can match your interests with the experience andexpertise of knowledgeable instructors who are passionate about the same subjects that you are! From visual art to writing, from computer science to yoga, there’s something for just about everyonein our constantly evolving course offerings. A small fee is charged to support these informative andenjoyable learning opportunities.

After having received a foundation of knowledge in The Villages Lifelong Learning College, youmay wish to follow up your classroom experiences with some practical (and fun) use of what you’velearned! For example, if you’ve taken a class in line dancing or scrapbooking, The Villages RecreationDepartment can be your gateway to connecting with other line dancers or scrapbookers who want topractice or work together to improve their skills. Activities such as these that are organized andsupervised through The Villages Recreation Department are supported totally by your monthlyamenity fees.

When enjoying Recreation Department sponsored activities we ask you to remember thefollowing guidelines:

• Please, always carry your original Villages ID and follow all posted rules and regulations inyour activity location – including all posted age requirements at all centers.

• Prior to getting involved in your recreational program, be sure to consult a physician toensure you are ready to participate if your interests include strenuous activities.

• Please be sure to fill out the required waiver at your recreation center before joining inthe fun and always wear appropriate attire while at the recreation center.

The Villages Lifelong Learning College and Recreation Department are great resources forVillages residents who enjoy learning and then putting their knowledge to work! Our dedicatedstaffs are anxious to help you get the most out of your unique Villages Lifestyle!
