DISASTER RECOVERY MADE SIMPLE AND EASYCLOSING THE GAP OF RPO AND RTO

The conventional approach of using a traditional snapshot based

replication solution for data recovery is insufficient to deliver continuousdata protection to minimize Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and

Recovery Time Objective (RTO). EMC's RecoverPoint data protection

solution provides concurrent local and remote data replication with

continuous data protection for any Point-in-Time (PiT) Recovery. Should

your data become compromised or lost, you'll be able to go back in time

and recover data in a consistent state across arrays and applications.

RecoverPoint technology makes data loss reversible so that you can

achieve the required RPO and RTO goals.

HETEROGENEOUS ARRAY PLATFORM SUPPORT

The EMC RecoverPoint solution replicates your data from any SAN-based

array (block level) to any other SAN-based array over your existing

Fibre Channel or IP network over any distance with bi-directional

support. It supports EMC VMAX series, EMC VNX series, EMC

VPLEX, and 3rd party arrays via VPLEX virtualization capability.

LOW TCO WITH WAN BANDWIDTH EFFICIENCY AND MULTI-SITE

RecoverPoint Appliances (RPA), configured in clusters, process the

replication by coalescing all data changes in the Journal files before

transmitting to the remote site. The compression and advanced

bandwidth reduction algorithms in RPAs dramatically reduce WAN

bandwidth consumption up to 90%, saving associated communication

costs. The multi-site support in a 4:1 fan-in configuration enables a

centralized Disaster Recovery (DR) site implementation for branch office

protection. A 1:4 fan-out configuration provides multi-copy replication

of production data, which has the added benefit of being ideal for isolated

software development test.

INTEGRATION WITH VMWARE SITE RECOVERY MANAGER (SRM)

Integrated with VMware SRM, RecoverPoint protects the virtualized

environment and enables recovery of virtual machines to any point-in-

time. This brings flexibility to IT operations such that one can leverage

the replicated virtual machine environment for test/development use

and also transparently test DR fail over to see what recovery would look

like operationally.

AFFORDABLE DATA PROTECTION WITH SOFTWARE vRPA OPTION

Choose a RecoverPoint appliance (RPA) for maximum performance. For

smaller sites or less-demanding environments, choose the software-only

virtual RPA (vRPA) for maximum simplicity and low TCO. RecoverPoint

vRPA configurations can be deployed in a VMware virtual machine (VM)

environment. This feature currently is available with EMC VNX equipped

with iSCSI support.
