Galicaster• Easy 2 use (touch-)interface for making
recordings. • Can record multiple screens at the same time.
What is Nagios?• Nagios offers complete monitoring and
alerting for servers, switches, applications, and services.
What did i learn?
• Working with (free) opensource-alternatives– Proxmox VE (VMWare esxi-alike)– Matterhorn– Nagios– Cumulusclips (youtube-alike website)
• Linux servers– Iptables (firewall)– Setup apache2 with php5 & mysql (webserver)– A lot of Linux commands
• Configuring routers (NAT, static IP’s)• Things never go as you plan them
Work 2 do
• Connect Matterhorn 1.4 to cumulusclips (automatic insertion of movies).
• Setting up matterhorn for uploading movies to youtube.• Setting up live-streaming for people of KHLeuven with LDAP
(login required).• Set up Nagios (monitoring).• Set up Recording devices for classrooms. (HW-problem)
• After everything works fine – Setting up computers in classrooms.– Expend the network / storage capacity for the server
