The agta record Group is among the world’s leading manufacturers of automatic door systems. Group headquarters are located in Fehraltorf, Switzerland, where the Company produces and supplies high-quality products to its global markets via 29 subsidiaries and 200 agencies.

When H.H.Bunzl established the Company in 1953, he could not have imagined that it would soon grow into one of the world’s leading providers of door automation systems. record in AustraliaSince 1998 record’s range of automatic sliding, bi-folding and swing door operators have been used in Australia through its exclusive distributorship with Sydney based specialist glazing contractor and revolving door manufacturer AGP Door Systems and they have a proud history of providing consistent and reliable service throughout that time.

In addition to global expansion initiatives elsewhere, record sought to become more active in the Australian market and in August 2014 it purchased the AGP Door Systems business, acquiring it’s assets and employees, five months before the parent company AGP was placed into administration later that year.

With this acquisition record Automatic Doors is able to offer the full range of Australian design and manufactured revolving doors from AGP that have been the dominant market leader in Australia and New Zealand for over 20 years. In addition to this it can also provide high quality European manufactured revolving doors from record’s Germany based subsidiary, Blasi.

Further Australian expansion is still taking place, with Melbourne automatic door distributor Doorways, and Sydney automatic door service business AADS acquired in November 2015.

This expansion is providing record with an Australia wide network of distributors and service companies to enable it to continue it’s growth as one of Australia’s leading automatic door companies.

record FULLVIEW series Easily the most popular revolving door available on the Australian market for over 20 years, the record Fullview Series is an exceptional Australian manufactured all purpose entrance door suitable for any building type and many different applications.

As the ‘Fullview’ Series name suggests, the door is designed to be transparent and modern without the cluttered look of conventional revolving doors that require metal columns at the central axis or heavy aluminium framed rotating door wings.

The door is available in either 3 or 4 wing configuration in sizes from 2400mm to 5200mm in diameter and passage heights from 2100mm to 4000mm. It can be built with either fixed or collapsible (manual or automatic windback) door wings.

The electrical motor drive and control system is mounted in the canopy for easy access and service. The canopy can be finished in stainless steel, powdercoat or anodised aluminium.

Every ‘Fullview’ door is fitted, as standard, with a range of electronic safety sensors to ensure optimum safety at all times. Setting record revolving doors apart from the competition is that these sensors are concealed, including the top rail infrared sensor and the bottom rail contact sensor.

With these features record proves that meeting safety requirements does not have to come at the expense of design and aesthetics.

A large number of unique and innovative options and engineering initiatives are available to allow each door to be custom built to suit your specific requirements and these include support of overhead glazing, as well as integrated night shields, motorised wind back door wings and illuminated canopy signage.

record DIAMOND seriesThe Diamond Series is the result of record’s former company, AGP Door System’s experience in the areas of revolving door technology and structural glass engineering. It has quickly become an architectural favourite for its ability to seamlessly integrate with, and complement, frameless glass assemblies.

This door was developed as a result of popular demand for the most frameless revolving door possible. Its clean and uncluttered appearance, belies the complication of its design.

Taking glass engineering in revolving door design to a new level, the entire door structure of the Diamond Series is designed to be self supporting, with the glass roof structurally glazed to the glass sidewalls, whilst still accommodating the dynamic loads of the rotating carousel.

There is no requirement for any kind of portal frame or perimeter ring beam to provide structural support to the door.

This door can be built in either 3 or 4 wing configuration and is available with fixed door wings only. Door diameter up to 4000mm and passage height of 3900mm have so far been accommodated with this door design. Further improvements may still be possible with additional glass engineering analysis.

Metal trims around the openings protect the glass edges and house the infrared safety sensors, while push to slow buttons are mounted off custom made freestanding bollards.

The electrical drive motor can be contained in a pit in the concrete slab, or if there is a suspended slab, it can be mounted to the underside for ease of access when servicing.

record CRYSTAL series Offering the ultimate in customisable revolving door design, the record Crystal Series features an elegant glass roof and slimline stainless steel portal frame.

This portal frame offers various glass fixing and structural support options to suit the architectural requirements of the client and the design of the surrounding glazing. The result is a modern spacious appearance to the entrance foyer of any building.

This door can be built in either 3 or 4 wing configuration and is available with fixed door wings only. The electrical motor drive can be contained in a pit in the concrete slab, or if there is a suspended slab, it can be mounted to the underside for ease of access when servicing.

Despite its highly transparent nature, the Crystal series is equipped with all the modern infrared and contact sensors to ensure optimum safety at all times.

The slimline steel support structure, the design of which is customised for each project, can be clad with stainless steel, aluminium or brass.

With this steel support structure, the Crystal Series can be engineered to suit greater diameters and heights than the Diamond Series, with the added potential of the door being specifically designed to support the dead loads and wind loads of the highlight glazing.

record K21 series The K21 is a special two wing revolving door which provides spacious compartment areas to enable large numbers of people to use the door, while also making the door easier to use for people with shopping or luggage trolleys, for courier deliveries, elderly people and wheelchair users. It does all of this while still providing the environment benefits, and foyer comfort levels, of an air-locked entrance.

As many building managers only want the airlock benefits of a revolving door during the very hot and very cold windy times of the year, it’s ability to convert to an automatic sliding door entrance sets this door apart from the competition. During more pleasant weather the K21 can be used as a full time sliding door entry, as it boasts the same quality and features as those operators used in dedicated automatic sliding door systems.

Standard inclusions are a full range of infrared and contact safety sensors to prevent the door from hitting an obstruction, as well as UPS battery backup to ensure continual operation during a power failure and to enable the door to convert to an alternate emergency egress route, or to provide smoke ventilation to assist in meeting the building’s fire service requirements.

The K21 is an ideal main entrance door in a large number of commercial and institutional applications, in particular shopping centres, airports, sporting clubs and hospitals.
