Burke Co. Register of Deeds will kick off an “Operation Vittles for Vets” donation drive to focus on veterans who are homebound for this year’s annual Veterans day event Nov. 14, 2019. Their goal is to serve forty homebound veterans with needed household items and meal boxes. They would like our help in identifying homebound vets in our congregation. If you know of a homebound vet in BBC, please call the church office and let a secretary know. If you are interested in donating items to help with this effort the following items are needed: canned food with easy open lids, non-perishable foods, toiletries, cleaning supplies and miscellaneous items (i.e. batteries, light bulbs, note pads, etc.). A collection site will be set up across from the Welcome Ctr.

Everyone faces the question of why at some point in their lives. Why did this happen to me?

Why didn't God intervene? Why should I even go on in life? In this story, two teenage siblings are faced with the death of their mother. One spends life looking for a reason for the tragedy, the other chooses to find purpose in life beyond the tragedy. See how their choices affect their futures both in their earthly lives and in eternity. In your bulletin you will find an ‘interest sheet’ for participation with J.H. We need all servants on board to present the gospel thru Judgement House. Please be prayerful about your commit-ment this year. There is a place for everyone to serve and we need YOU! J.H. is a powerful way to reach the lost for Christ. DATES: October23, 26-27, 29-30.

All of us like to save money by conserving energy in our homes, turning off the lights, keeping doors and windows closed when the A/C is on, etc. BBC likes to be

good stewards of money and facilities as well. Please help us by turning off lights when you leave a room/bathroom, and by closing the doors to your rooms and the halls when you exit. We have a total of 35 A/C units and it takes much effort to keep them running. Please help us to be good stewards. Thank you. The Maintenance Comm.
