RECREATIONAL AND OUTDOOR UNIKL MIMET (RECOM)

STUDENTS REPRESENTATIVE COMMITTEE (SRC) UNIKL MIMET

1.0 PURPOSE

The purpose of this proposal is to seek consideration and approval to form a new club

under Exco of Sports, Recreation and Culture Student Representative Committee (SRC)

UniKL MIMET.

2.0 INTRODUCTION

In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

2.1 Malaysia is known as one of the country that rich in flora and fauna. With such

valuable treasures ever ready within reach, they would be meaningless and put to waste if

they were not to be admired, enjoyed and protected. On top of this, since the UniKL have

encouraged the undergraduate to excel in academic, they should also be encouraged to

lead healthy lifestyle by encouraging themselves with healthy co-curriculum and outdoor

activities.

 

3.0 MISSION

3.1 The main objectives are strengthen the relationship between UniKL MIMET

students to compete in the healthy way.

3.2 This program also want to enhance UniKL MIMET students to love and have

passion towards outdoor activities among students and create a healthy lifestyle.

6.0 OBJECTIVE

To promote team spirit to encourage students to be excellent in both academic and non-

academic activities.

Organizing the outdoor recreational activities to the club members in particular and all

citizens in UniKL MIMET campus.

Apply the values and ethics in sports activities at the site

Expose the members of the recreational activities that can be utilized as a healthy lifestyle

Provide all forms of knowledge and skills in recreation including forestry science, nature

and all the equipment used in recreational activities

To instill leadership among students

To promote healthy lifestyle by exposing students to exciting and healthy outdoor

activities.

To increase the awareness of biodiversity appreciation and conservation among students

by exposing to various fauna and flora species.

To expose students to basic jungle survival skills and other outdoor skills

Benefits of setting up the club

To the students: RECOM provides sound platform for students to carry out outdoor

activities and to increase the awareness of biodiversity appreciation and conservation

among students by exposing to various fauna and flora.

 

To UniKL Mimet: UniKL serve as a platform to inculcate good value of conserving our

nature biodiversity and to encourage students to lead a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

There will be booth exhibition about this new club. We going to do a community services

and volunteers.

8.0 CLOSING

To form a new official’s recreation community in UniKL MIMET is a part of our strategy in

developing students who are equipped with highly motivated people towards better human

capital development in every aspect by outdoor activities.

Hence, the students be able to explore and enjoying the task through different side of life

perspective. It is being targeted that, resulted from this event, the students not only joining our

club but developed their team spirits and passion towards independent life, but also to expand

their knowledge and broaden their experience in cultivate diversity and inclusiveness.

Besides, with this program we hope that the UniKL students can be strengthen their relationship

among them and the lecturers and be a productive problem solver.

As a conclusion, by joining RECOM, students can make a lot of new friends, opportunity to

learn and experiences, chance for regular exercise and improve your fitness levels, enjoy, have

fun and sweet memorable movement.
