• Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between 04/23 and 05/01. Affected streets included Randolph Road, Twinbrook Parkway, and Elsdale Court. No force; vehicle parts were taken.

• An attempted commercial burglary occurred at S & A located at 15213 Display Court between approximately 8:00 p.m. on 04/27 and approximately 6:00 a.m. on 04/28.

• Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between 04/27 and 04/30. Affected streets included Connecticut Avenue, Blueford Road, and Madison Street. Force was reported in one event, one vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; property was taken. MCP urges all residents to take a role in preventing this type crime by removing valuables from vehicles and locking all doors.

D4 Beat: • Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between 04/23 and 04/26. Affected streets included

Rossmore Court, Rockville Pike, Grosvenor Place, Tuckerman Lane, and Hampton Mill Terrace. No force, one vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash, property, and vehicle parts were taken. MCP urges all residents to take a role in preventing this type of crime by removing valuables from vehicles and locking all doors.

• An aggravated assault occurred in the 5500 block of Nicholson Lane at approximately 11:45 p.m. on 05/01. The suspect displayed a weapon. The suspect was arrested.

Arrested: W/M, age 49; of Rockville E1 Beat:

• No significant incidents occurred during this reporting period. E2 Beat:

• A residential garage burglary occurred in the 7800 block of Old Chester Road between approximately 8:45 p.m. and approximately 10:00 p.m. on 04/30. No signs of forced entry, the garage door was reported to have been left open; property was taken.

• Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred in the early morning hours of 05/02. Affected streets

included Shelton Street, Topeka Street, Lowell Street, and Melwood Road. No force, multiple vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken. MCP urges all residents to take a role in preventing this type of crime by removing valuables from vehicles and locking all doors.

E3 Beat:

• A residential shed burglary was reported in the 9900 block of Belhaven Road at approximately 7:15 p.m. on 05/02. No signs of forced entry, the shed was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

G1 Beat:

• A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 1100 block of Bonifant Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. on 05/01. The suspect assaulted the adult female victim and took her property.

Suspect: B/M, age 20-29

• Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred during this reporting period. Affected streets included Eastern Avenue, Georgia Avenue, Cameron Street, East West Highway, Bonifant Street, 13th Street, Blair Mill Road, 16th Street, and Fenton Street. Force was reported in all events; cash and property were taken.

G2 Beat:

• A shooting occurred in the area of Woodland Drive and Myrtle Road in Forest Glen at approximately 4:19 p.m. on 04/26. The suspects were arrested.

• A stabbing occurred in the area of East Franklin Avenue at University Boulevard East at approximately 3:11 p.m. on 04/27. The suspect was arrested.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 11500 block of February Circle at approximately 11:02 a.m. on 05/02. Forced entry; nothing was taken.

• An armed robbery occurred in the 11600 block of Lockwood Drive in the early morning hours of 05/03. The suspect displayed a weapon and took the adult male victim’s property. The suspect was arrested.

Arrested: B/M, age 22; of Silver Spring

I2 Beat:

• An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 13800 block of Castle Boulevard between approximately 9:00 a.m. and approximately 10:55 p.m. on 04/26.

• A rape and robbery occurred in the 13800 block of Castle Boulevard at approximately 2:27 p.m. on

• An attempted commercial burglary occurred at the Jain Society of Metropolitan Washington

located at 1021 Briggs Chaney Road between approximately 9:00 p.m. on 04/22 and approximately

5:00 p.m. on 04/25.

• Two thefts from vehicles occurred between 04/23 and 04/26. One theft occurred in the 2300 block of Glenallen Avenue and one theft occurred in the 12600 block of Layhill Road. No force; vehicle parts were taken.

• Two attempted residential burglaries occurred in the following areas:

� In the 12600 block of Layhill Road between approximately 9:00 a.m. and approximately 3:00 p.m.

on 04/26.

� In the 13900 block of Alderton Road in the early morning hours of 04/28.

J2 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 19900 block of Zion Road between approximately 9:00 a.m. on 04/23 and approximately 11:30 a.m. on 04/30. Forced entry; property was taken.

• A commercial armed robbery occurred at the Verizon store located at 18130 Georgia Avenue at

approximately 9:00 p.m. on 04/26. One suspect implied that he had a weapon. The suspects took merchandise.

Suspects: 2 B/Ms, age 20-25

• An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 3400 block of Bantry Way between approximately 9:00 p.m. on 04/28 and approximately 12:30 a.m. on 04/29.

K1 Beat: • A theft from vehicle occurred in the 3900 block of Bel Pre Road between approximately 3:25 p.m.

on 04/22 and approximately 1:00 p.m. on 04/26. No force; a vehicle part was taken.

• Two residential burglaries occurred in the following areas:

� In the 2900 block of Bluff Point Lane at approximately 9:45 p.m. on 04/27. No signs of forced

entry, the rear sliding door was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

� In the 14000 block of North Gate Drive in the early morning hours of 05/01. No signs of forced

entry, the front door was reported to possibly have been left unlocked; nothing was taken. The

suspect was arrested.

• The following two residential burglaries were committed by the same suspects. The suspects were arrested. � In the 19500 block of Crystal Rock Drive at approximately 10:30 a.m. on 05/02. No signs of

forced entry, the rear sliding door was reported to have been left unlocked; nothing was taken.

� In the 19600 block of Crystal Rock Drive at approximately 10:35 a.m. on 05/02. No signs of forced entry, the rear sliding door was reported to have been left unlocked; property was taken.

N2 Beat:

• A homicide occurred in the 12800 block of Kitchen House Way at approximately 12:55 a.m. on 04/29. Two suspects were arrested.

• Three thefts from vehicles occurred in the early morning hours of 05/01. Affected streets included two thefts in the 10400 block of Stedwick Road and one theft in the 10300 block of Royal Woods Court. Force was reported in one event, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.

• Three vehicle thefts occurred in the following areas. These thefts could have been prevented if the keys from the vehicles had been removed.

� In the 9300 block of Weathervane Place between approximately 10:30 p.m. on 04/29 and

approximately 11:25 a.m. on 04/30. A spare key was reported to possibly have been left inside the vehicle.

� In the 9400 block of Hickory View Place between approximately 9:00 p.m. on 05/01 and

approximately 7:00 a.m. on 05/02. The vehicle was reported to possibly have been left unlocked with the key inside. The vehicle was recovered on 05/02.

� In the 19800 block of Bazzellton Place between approximately 9:00 p.m. and approximately

10:53 p.m. on 05/02. The key was reported to have been left inside the vehicle. The vehicle was recovered on 05/02.
