Thank you Father _______________!

Good Morning/Evening!

By a show of hands, • How many of you dipped your hand in the Holy Water font and made the Sign of the Cross as you entered the Church? • Very good! Now, how many of you were reminded of your baptismal promises when you did so?

We have an opportunity to grow as a parish family in our understanding of Baptism and the difference that can make every day of our lives. I want to invite you to participate in a video based study on formed.org. With beautiful film-making and powerful teaching, REBORN will move your heart and give you plenty to discuss as a family or as a group of friends over the next three weeks.

[Reverse Collection option]

So, as I finish speaking the ushers will pass the collection basket again. However, instead of putting in your tithe, please take out of the basket a card that gives the instructions on how to register for your FREE access to formed.org and REBORN.

OR

[Bulletin insert option]

In the parish bulletin is a card with step-by-step instructions on how to register for FREE access to formed.org and REBORN—please take one as you leave.

I’ll close with a message from Fr. Brian Larkin, who is a lead presenter in REBORN.

“As Christians, everything we do flows from the grace and mission of our own Baptism. Most of us are happy to embrace the grace part, but the mission is much harder, we don’t always want that. But that is where our Baptism is lived out, in our everyday lives. The grace of Baptism is an energy, it is an ability to do something, it entails a mission!”

Thank you for your time! I will be in the gathering space at the end of Mass to answer any questions and help you sign up.

FOLLOW UP

The next week, Father makes an announcement at the end of each Mass and asks, “Last week you got this card with our FORMED login (hold the card up). Did you register yet and watch the first episode of REBORN? If you didn’t, please do this week and join our parish in this powerful program.
