Dillon 21 Comments Learn how to make your own lush DIY pigment eyeshadow that’s rich in color but goes on smooth like a cream eyeshadow with my DIY Cream Eyeshadow recipe. It’s perfect for those wanting a quality makeup product without all the chemicals you find in many mass market commercial cosmetics. What I love about this handmade cream eyeshadow is that it contains no scary chemicals or preservatives. However, like all makeup, you’ll want to discard it after three months and start with a fresh batch. How to Make Cream EyeshadowMarch 10, 2013 By Rebecca D. Dillon 21 Comments Learn how to make your own lush DIY pigment eyeshadow thats rich in color but goes on smooth like a cream eyeshadow with my DIY Cream Eyeshadow recipe. Its perfect for those wanting a quality makeup product without all the chemicals you find in many mass market commercial cosmetics.

What I love about this handmade cream eyeshadow is that it contains no scary chemicals or preservatives. However, like all makeup, youll want to discard it after three months and start with a fresh batch. Always use clean hands and applicators when applying to help avoid bacteria being introduced into your makeup.

Handmade Cream Eyeshadow Recipe Rebeccas Soap DelicatessenHeres what you need to get started:Measure SpoonsGlass Pyrex Measuring CupGraduated 3ml Plastic Transfer Pipettes5 gram Eyeshadow ContainerMicrowaveSpoonIngredients:8 White Beeswax Pastilles1 teaspoon Refined Shea Butter24 drops (approximately .75ml) Refined Jojoba Oil120 drops (approximately 3.75ml) Vegetable Glycerin12 drops Vitamin E Oil2 teaspoons Ultramarine Violet Pigment Powder (or you choice of oxide or ultramarine pigments or combination of Cosmetic Mica Pigment Powder and Titanium Dioxide)1/4 teaspoon Cosmetic Pearl Mica Powder

Instructions:Start by melting your beeswax pastilles and shea butter in a glass measuring cup in the microwave for 1 1 1/2 minutes or until melted. Then, using a different pipette for each ingredient, add the glycerin, jojoba oil and Vitamin E to the wax and shea butter.

Next measure out the pigment powder and mica and stir add to the liquid mixture. Stir well, then scoop into your empty eye shadow container. For best results wait a day before using.

Usage:To use, apply a small amount to eyelids and spread across lid. Apply more or less to get your desired look. You may have to experiment a bit to get your perfect shade. If you like this project, also be sure to check out my homemade vegan lip stain recipe.
