progress under Chinese grant, completion in 3 years( 100MUSD).
Relocation of KKH from Sazin

Will be relocated at an estimated cost of 282MUSD. Out of 140 Km
relocated length, work on 34 Km Shatial Bypass is in progress.

CAREC CORRIDORS • CAREC: Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation
• Partnership of 10 countries and 6 multilateral institutions
• Ten CAREC countries are; Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, People's
Republic of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic,
Mongolia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and
Pakistan.
• Six multilateral partners are; Asian Development Bank
(ADB), European Bank for Reconstruction and
Development (EBRD), International Monetary Fund (IMF),
Islamic Development Bank (IDB), United Nations
Development Programme (UNDP) and World Bank (WB).
• All Working to promote development through cooperation,
leading to accelerated economic growth and poverty reduction.

Government also plans to develop North-South Corridor from Khunjrab
to Gwadar Port via Thahkot-Mansehra-Abbottabad-Havelian-Burhan –
Pindigheb – Bhakkar – DG Khan-Sui- Jacobabad – Basima and Khuzdar
in next four years period.
In view of the targets set-forth by the Government, following are the
three road corridors recommended by the Government of Pakistan to be
incorporated/integrated with CAREC Road Network:
Khunjrab (Pak-China Border)– Thahkot-Mansehra-Abbottabad-
Havelian-Burhan – Pindigheb – Bhakkar – DG Khan- Sui- Jacobabad
– Khuzdar – Gwadar (2395 km)
Chaman (Pak-Afghan Border)– Quetta – Kalat- Basima – Hoshab –
Gwadar (825 km)
