Atlanta Technical College and Clark Atlanta University have entered into a partnership with articulation for ATC students at CAU and opportunities at ATC for CAU faculty and students.
Dental Hygiene instructor and program chair, Marisha Singleton, was a Regional Finalist for the Rick Perkins Technical Instructor of the Year.
Atlanta Technical College and Felix Fechenbach Berufskolleg in Detmold, Germany, celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Halle Exchange, the first international exchange program at a Georgia technical college.

ATC Student Highlights Students provided barbering and cosmetology services to more than 250 senior citizens
confined to nursing homes.
Dental Hygiene students provided services at multiple community locations including • Healing Hands Community Center • DDD Foundation • Center for Pan Asian Community Services • HOSEA Feed the Hungry • Family Medical Center, West End • Southside Medical Center ATC students were recognized at PBL State and National Competitions: • 18 State Awards • 2 first place • 4 National Awards.
Darrell Smith (Chef DAS), an ATC alumni, was a guest speaker for students in Culinary Arts. In addition to being featured on the Food Network’s shows “Next Food Network Star” and “The Great Food Truck Race,” he is a consultant on the Oprah Winfrey Network’s hit series, “Home Made Simple.” He has been a private chef for Sean Combs and Michelle Obama and is opening a restaurant in Buckhead.

Mission Atlanta Technical College, a unit of the Technical College System of
Georgia, provides lifelong educational opportunities and experiences through academic and innovative career preparation, service learning, and multiple program delivery modalities that lead to technical certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees and make student development and success possible in a competitive global economy.
Community Highlights In partnership with CareerRise of Atlanta and the Beltline, we formed Careers in Healthcare Atlanta Mobility
Project (CHAMP) to identify and develop training programs for entry-level workers for the healthcare industry in Atlanta. This program partners with the Hospitals Association of Georgia. Dean of Health & Public Safety Technologies is on the Operations Advisory Council.
ATC was a host site for Horizons National Summer Camp and served 60 students ranging from rising 1st through 4th graders. ATC also served as host of the Horizons Atlanta Summer Learning Day.
ATC Foundation supported 562 students for a total of $245,255.
