appra isa l l icensingTo become an apprentice and ultimately a licensed appraiser, a total of 150 hours of classroom time is required, along with a 24 month apprenticeship. The courses we offer will satisfy all requirements for the apprentice level license and the regular license level. To become a Certified Residential Appraiser, in addition to the 200 hours of classroom instruction, you will need an Associate’s Degree or at least 21 hours of the following college coursework: English Composition, Principles of Economics (Micro or Macro), Finance, Algebra/Geometry/or Higher Mathematics, Statistics, Introduction to Computers, Word Processing/Spreadsheets and Business or Real Estate Law.

To become a Certified General Appraiser, in addition to the 300 hours of classroom instruction, you will need a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 30 hours of the following college coursework: English Composition, Principles of Economics (Micro or Macro), Finance, Algebra/Geometry/or Higher Mathematics, Statistics, Introduction to Computers, Word Processing/Spreadsheets, Business or Real Estate Law, Two Electives in Accounting, Geography, Agricultural Economics, Business Management or Real Estate.
