3) Summary of the storya) The Story take place in the future, May 17, 2157 , To be exact. Roughly 200 years after the story has been published. Its told the story about two children, Maggie and Tommy (Little Sister and Big Brother) found a book about school in (Assumedly) 20th century. The future seem eerily familiar to us. First Tommy and Maggie talk how about the wildly inefficient the book compared to their telescreen eBook (Remind us of the Kindle and iPads). About how Awfully funny to read words that stood still instead of moving the way they were supposed to-on a screen. They are fascinated about the concept of our school compared to theirs. The 22nd century school was located in everyone home (Unlike our concept of today school). Where your classmate Is your family. And where the teacher is a mechanical computer who takes homework is some sort of slot. They fascinated to the times where the teacher is actually human. And someone could be as smart as the Teacher. When Maggie finally comes to his Class. She dreams of the old century school with Friend all over the neighborhood, playing together and the fact about all children learn the same thing so they could help each other. (The 22nd century curriculum are all personalized for the children need)4) Reading Responsea) If you were the author, what do you want to change from the stories? Why?i) The Story date. The author failed to account the rapid pace of technological development in the late 20st century.b) What are quotes or sentences that do you like in the story? Explain it?i) Margie was thinking about how the kids must have loved it in the old days. She was thinking about the fun they had.ii) Ironic statement. Most of the children today yearn for the school described by Asimovc) Do you find any similarity of differences in social custom or belief compared to yours?i) I find how the telescreen technological and personalized curriculum somewhat familiar with our today world.5) Reflectiona) Last generation will always had it better, according to the preceding generation. It seem eerily familiar to today people that dream of the glorious old past. When everybody is somewhat happier and freed from the tyranny of modern day working and stress. Asimov also somewhat able to predict future technologies in somewhat accurately.
