Yesterday was not a typical day for Luisa. It was a Monday, and on Mondays Luisa always gets up at 6 oclock sharp. But Sunday night, there was a storm, and by 6 oclock on Monday, the houses in Luisas neighborhood did not have any electricity, so her alarm clock did not go off. Luisa didnt wake up at 6. She woke up at 7!
On her way to work, which usually starts at 8 oclock, Luisa always takes the city bus. However, she was late, and the bus takes 45 minutes to get to her office, so she decided to take a taxi a 15 minute ride. A mile from her office, the taxi had a minor accident. She had to walk the rest of the way! Luisa didnt start work at 8 oclock. She started at 8:30.
At work, Luisa usually answers phone calls from important customers. But on Monday, Luisa had a meeting with her boss. She didnt answer phone calls. She spent three hours in a meeting room.
After work, Luisa usually goes for a jog in the park. On Monday, however, Luisa forgot her running clothes at home because she was late. She didnt go for a jog. Instead, she decided to walk home from work in high heels and a skirt!
When she got home, Luisa was very tired. Usually, she does the chores; she sweeps and mops the floors and dusts the furniture every Monday. But today she didnt do the chores like she normally does. Instead, she watched TV and soaked her feet in warm water. It just wasnt a typical day!
