on Ecology in Kraków
In cities trees and plants are really significant because they clean and absorb carbon dioxide from air. In Kraków there is huge amount of green areas like parks. Also, we have got one of the biggest green spots in Europe – Błonia.

Sorting garbage is one of the best ways to keep the city clean. In Krakow I find a lot of baskets made for this purpose and they are clearly visible through the colors, many people segregate rubbish and do it more often that they used to. This helps removal services to municipal waste to landfill and to maintain cleanliness in the city.
Public transport is really important for
Kraków`s ecology. Various means of transport are provided in our city like trams, buses and have got a special bike renting system. Because of that, we can reduce air contamination.

• Wisla is a very polluted river. According to the statistics pollution is over the average in 56% of its lenght. In the year 2006 Wisla „poured” over 300 tons of metals to the Baltic sea.
