I am happy to present our newsletter 'Reach Out' vol 9/February 2020 which will give you insight of
FIBRO India.
The Business environment is getting complex for everybody. There is turmoil in domestic as well as
global economy. We get to read contradictory statements on the economy. The issues such as
USA-Iran conflict, the USA-China trade war, the impeachment trial against the President of USA, do affect the over all
global business environment. In addition, BS 6 norms, entry of Electric Mobility, rising inflation, reducing demand (?)
proposed GST returns and audit etc. are making the long-term Business scenario more complex and gloomier.
Nevertheless, there is silver lining to the cloud. The reduction in corporate tax has increased the foreign investment. The
Prime Minister of India wants Indian economy to reach USD 5 Trillion in next couple of years. The budget announced by FM
concentrates on long term benefits like investment in Infrastructure, Rail, Road and Air which would help industry to grow.
In the meantime, we at FIBRO India utilized this slow down period in developing the new products such as DIE MOUNTED
CAMs, new type of armature control units as well as large size Rotary table FIBROTOR ER 15. We have started adopting
the Lean Manufacturing practices at identified manufacturing cells to improve the productivity and thereby reducing the
lead time for the customers.
We like to work hand in hand with our customers. As such you are aware that we do conduct online customers satisfaction
survey. Based on the customers feedback we take measures for improvement in that specific area. Your feedback shows
that we are consistent with the product quality, improved sales support and lead time. But you would like us to further
improve on lead time. Now I am sure with our initiative with Lean manufacturing you will see the improvement.
Once again, I request you to share your future plans well in advance so that we can gear up accordingly.

Smart Tool for Gas Springs using Bluetooth LE 4.0
The core requirements on any pressing plant are: Automation and zero-defect production. The FIBRO Wireless Pressure Monitoring (WPM) system monitors gas springs in all areas in which cable or hose-reliant systems reach their technical limitations or are simply uneconomical. The WPM system monitors temperature and pressure in gas springs.It consists of a data holder and sensors, which transmit their data by radio to any desired Windows-based computer. Custom software analyses the data and initializes the necessary process control and pre-emptive maintenance steps accordingly. FIBRO, with the WPM system for the Industry 4.0 revolution, provides a product and technology that supports concepts of intelligent processes and networked machines/tools.

We were honored by the visit of Mr. Yoshiaki Numata- President of Mitutoyo corporation, Japan along with Mr. N. Bajaj (MD - Mitutoyo South Asia Pvt Ltd), Mr. Harrish Bajaj & Mr. Santosh Subnis.
He was curious to see the use of Mitutoyo 3D Coordinate Measuring Machine for inspection of critical precision components manufactured by FIBRO India. He also expressed his satisfaction with the current setup of FIBRO India.

IMTMA has organized Training Programmes - 'Finishing school in production Engineering' & 'Machine Tool Design' which were scheduled at Technology Centre, Pune. Both courses are tailored for new recruits / trainees as well as fresh engineering graduates in Mechanical engineering, production engineering and allied branches, aspiring for challenging career in manufacturing industries.
As a part of the Training Programme, new recruits/trainees could able to see the actual use of various latest CNC machines, assembly shop as well as tooling, rotary tables & modern metal working factory of FIBRO India.
We were grateful to pass our love for technology to the 20 participants on 11th December 2019.
