Interview with Cindy & Craig Corrie on Chatterbox, Tacoma School of theArts

Allison GliddenAllison Glidden fell in love with Olympia, WA afterspending her adolescence and early adulthood travelingand searching the world for a place that felt like home.She graduated from The Evergreen State College with aB.A. in Political Economy after focusing extensively onthe political economy of media, public education, andsocial change and movements. Allison's passions includeempowering young women, advocating for social justiceand human rights, and relationship building. Joining theRachel Corrie Foundation as the Administrative Managerin 2015 was the perfect opportunity for her to further her

personal and academic pursuits while supporting a nonprofit that shared similar values.

When she isn't working, Allison enjoys exploring the many outdoor offerings of the PacificNorthwest, traveling the world, and taste­testing every flavor of Olympic Mountain IceCream.  

Jessica BabcockAfter relocating from San Diego to Olympia in 2014, Jessicavolunteered with the Rachel Corrie Foundation on the 2014Peace Works Committee to help realize "Yet Again AsCaptives: Mass Incarceration in the US and Palestine"featuring Keynote Speakers Noura Erakat and AngelaDavis. She also helped plan the 2014 Human Rights DayFundraiser. Now and as Program Manager, Jessica is ableto continue using her planning and coordinating skills tosupport social justice and human rights, which are passionsclose to her heart. Jessica has a Bachelor's inInternational/Intercultural studies and Spanish from PitzerCollege in Claremont, CA and a Master's Degree in ConflictTransformation from the School for International Training inBrattleboro, Vermont. She has lived in Ecuador, Spain,Turkey and Nepal throughout her academic career where

she had the opportunity to put into practice her studies on peace building and conflictresolution.

Thayer HastingsThayer Hastings was the most recent addition to the RachelCorrie Foundation as their Communications and Public PolicyManager. He is also a master's candidate at the Center forContemporary Arab Studies of Georgetown University inWashington, DC. After completing a B.A. from the University ofWashington in Seattle, he returned to Palestine, where hecarried out research and advocacy in law and human rightsworking with local and international non­governmentalorganizations, including BADIL Resource Center and theAmerican Friends Service Committee.
