Volume Licensing

Microsoft's Volume Licensing programs are designed for organizations that need from five to thousands of copies of Microsoft software.

Benefits: Substantial savings Ease of deployment Flexible acquisition

There are four types of Volume License Agreements available: Open Select Enterprise Enterprise Subscription

Volume License Agreements never cover the FULL Windows License – only Windows upgrades.

onto a computer prior to sale. Usually, the PC doesn’t come with any of the

necessary supporting documentation (e.g. Certificate of Authenticity, media, manuals, etc.)

Mischanneling Software distributed under special discount

licenses that is then redistributed to others who do not qualify for these licenses

Be on the lookout for packaging marked as “Academic Price”, “Not for resale”, etc.
