Software Piracy & Counterfeiting Software piracy is the illegal reproduction
and distribution of software, whether for business or personal use.
Counterfeiting is selling illegally duplicated copies of software.

Types of PiracyHard Disk Loading Preinstalling an unlicensed copy of software
onto a computer prior to sale. Usually, the PC doesn’t come with any of the
necessary supporting documentation (e.g. Certificate of Authenticity, media, manuals, etc.)
Mischanneling Software distributed under special discount
licenses that is then redistributed to others who do not qualify for these licenses
