CHALLENGERaylon Enterprise Company Limited is a key supplier to one of the
leading discount retailers in Australia. Raylon exports a wide range of
products to its customer on open account payment terms.
A lengthy payment term put immense pressure on Raylons working
capital and posed a huge challenge in their expansion efforts.
Additionally, Raylon did not have the ability to monitor the status of
their invoices. There was no notification provided by their customer
until the invoice matured. Hence, Raylon had to wait until the actualpayment was made by their customer to discover if any of the invoices
had an issue. This acted as an impediment in their cash flow
forecasting process.
We had to wait in anticipation to receive payment by our customer
since there was no process for us to track pending invoices, remarks

And, since we waited until invoice maturity to collect on outstanding
receivables, we faced deficiency in working capital that hindered our
growth plans.
SOLUTIONRaylon was familiar with using SCF for another customer, as a tool to
mitigate the negative cash flow impact of a lengthy payment term. So,
when the discount retailer offered them with an opportunity to utilize
Supply Chain Finance, Raylon was keen on joining the SCF program.
Mr. Xu says, Since we were already aware of the benefits that an SCF
solution could deliver, were quite pleased to have the ability to use it
for our Australia based discount store customer.
