Forums/Portals

1. http://fresh-network.typepad.com/ The UK-based blog is exactly what one would expect from Sarah Best, editor of Get Fresh magazine. The site is a one-stop shop for anything related to holistic health and raw food, bringing together information and news from a variety of respected sources the world over.

2. http://www.giveittomeraw.com/ GI2MR, as it refers to itself, is a portal for all things raw. It’s a great place to start for raw food experts and greenhorns. The site has over 9,000 members and this community interacts with each other on a very active message board, through hundreds of groups, based on geography (e.g. Raw Montreal) or hobbies (e.g. Running Green) or something else (e.g. Raw Mamas Breastfeeding). There’s also a very useful calendar of nationwide raw events and a media warehouse that contains upwards of 2,000 videos ranging from the promotional to the informational.

3. http://rawfoodnetwork.com If you can’t find a website, blog, audio file, video log on RawFoodNetwork.com then it probably doesn’t exist. The Raw Food Network lives up to its mission by serving not only as a focal point but as a rallying point for current and would-be raw foodists. All websites are created equal at this passionate portal.

4. http://www.uncookedfood.com/ Calling itself the Complete Raw Food Resource UncookedFood.com boasts a wealth of useful information in its encyclopedia, “answers” and “definition” section. The best bet is to use the search engine drop-down on the top of the screen.

4. http://www.beautifulonraw.com/ The information on Tonya Zavasta’s blog is almost as rich as the details of her incredible life. Born behind the Iron Curtain, she overcame diseases that made a mere walk to the store difficult and has written extensively about the role raw foods have played in her transformation. In addition to being a virtual catalogue on raw food, there’s a fountain of facts on raw beauty tips.

5. http://bittsblog.blogspot.com/ A refreshing mix of green living, travel and raw food products are the centerpieces of this blog from the Pacific Northwest. It was created after the author went from a vegan diet to a raw food diet in 2008 in response to mounting health issues.
