Converting Mixed Numbers to Improper Fractions

Multiply the denominator and the whole number. Use that product and add it to the numerator. Keep the original denominator.

Converting an Improper Fraction to a Mixed Number

Divide the numerator by the denominator. Keep dividing until the decimal terminates or repeats. The quotient is the whole number, the remainder is the numerator, and the divisor is the denominator

Writing Fractions as Decimals

Divide the numerator by the denominator.
