About UW-LOne of the most competetive universities in the UW-

System, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is home to more than 10,000 students studying in 44 different disciplines. More than three-fourths of all full-time faculty have earned a doctoral or terminal degree in their field.

More top-notch faculty are on the way with the passage of a university growth plan that will bring more than 70 new faculty and 500 more students. Capital projects are also booming; four new buildings have been undertaken in the past five years, and two of them have just been completed--Centennial Hall and Eagle Hall. Plans for two more are in the works to further expand our infrastructure and make room for an even larger, more diverse student population.

There are more than 150 different student groups on campus that encompass a variety of interests and fields, from the English Club to the Society for Human Resource Management. Students are involved in a variety of governing bodies, such as the Student Association and the Residence Hall Association Council. About The Racquet

Published weekly, The Racquet has been the official independent, student-run newspaper of UW-La Crosse since 1910.

Roughly 2,000 copies are distributed every Thursday to each academic building on campus, to select dorms, and to several outdoor display boxes. The Racquet also operates a Web site, Facebook page, and Twitter feed, reaching thousands of stu-dents and community members daily.

UW-L is among the largest employers in the region; the campus community is home to more than 10,000 students and staff and generates more than $149 mil-lion in revenue for the city.

The Racquet is the most direct and cost efficient means to target this market of young consumers.
