Abeking & Rasmussen delivers 72.5m Explorer Yacht Cloudbreak 

German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen’s latest superyacht, the 72.5 metre Cloudbreak, departed from their facility in Lemwerder near Bremen, Germany yesterday after an electrifying owner’s ceremony . The yacht is now underway with Kristiansand, Norway as her first port of call before crossing the North Atlantic to reach Iceland from where she will undertake an epic round‐the‐world voyage. With her Gross Tonnage of over 2,200 GT, Cloudbreak is set to become one of the largest yachts of her length. Her military styling with matching grey paint job is the work of designer Espen Oeino, with her high volume interior having been created by Paris based interior designer Christian Liaigre. The project was secured by SuperYachts Monaco, whom have also overseen the build process on behalf of the owner.  

Cloudbreak is offered for charter through SuperYachts Monaco during the course of her circumnavigation with guests being offered the chance to step on board the luxury explorer yacht while in popular cruising areas around the world.

Following her delivery later this month, the yacht will be available for charter with guests able to join the yacht in popular locations around the world as part of her circumnavigation. Guests can cruise in safety, comfort and luxury while sightseeing in Alaska, scuba diving in Costa Rica or exploring the Raja Ampat in Indonesia. 

 

 

 

To safely deal with these extreme conditions the yacht has been fitted with an array of advanced navigational equipment, water craft and on board toys. As the yacht plans to cruise past some of the most famous mountain ranges suitable for winter sports, Cloudbreak is also equipped with a full arsenal of snowboarding and skiing gear, that can be loaded into the helicopter ready for the slopes. 

 

 

Not only the yacht herself, but the hand‐picked crew members are tailored to Cloudbreak’s maiden voyage that will focus on extreme sports and adventure. Members of the team include a professional helicopter pilot, surf coach, paramedic, photographer and yoga instructor. The crew’s skills will come handy during the ambitious voyage that Cloudbreak is about to embark on.
