Struck by the Royal Australian Mint dated 2019, this 100 Years of Repatriation two dollar, al/bronze uncirculated recognises the 1919 Australia Repatriation Department, which undertook the massive task of repatriating Australian servicemen and women after the First World War. Tens of thousands of servicemen and nurses were provided with vital support and services.

These rolls have been issued in brown paper printed with the words "Australian Govern-ment Royal Australian Mint" and struck with a limited mintage of only 5000 rolls.

Discovered near the Victorian goldfields town of Moliagul by John Deason on 5 February 1869, the famous Welcome Stranger nugget is the largest-known alluvial gold nugget ever found, estimated to weigh a total of 72 kilos and containing almost 2,300oz of gold. After its discovery in 1869 it sold for about 10,000 British pounds, which is the equivalent to $AUD2.16 million today.
