What is RP?
Rapid Prototyping is a group of techniques that is used to quickly fabricate a scale model of a physical part or assembly using three dimensional computer aided design (CAD) data.

RP process
Rapid Prototyping is a method in which the part is created by additive process.
Using a specialized software (MIMICS), a 3-D CAD model is cut into very thin layers or cross-sections.
RP machine constructs the part layer by layer until solid replica of the CAD model is generated.
The model can then be used for various purpose – in our case for surgical simulation and implant instrument designing.
