As Plant Inspector

Responsible for supervising, directing and carrying out inspection activities as specified within the framework of API standard 653 for tank inspection, repair, alteration, and reconstruction.

Responsible for communicating tank inspection, technical and quality related issues with coordinators / operations department. & works un-supervised, or as part of a tank inspection team

Perform routine surveillance, inspection , monitoring, auditing ,QC Dossier & assurance of Contractor's site activities(Fabrication & Welding, NDT, Coating & Painting) in accordance with the Projects & Contractors, specifications, ITP & Quality Plans. Perform internal and external inspections to determine if it meets the acceptance criteria of a specific code, standard or document..

Pay attention to detail and be capable of recommending and approving repairs as well as performing

visual inspection of completed work. &submitting completed inspection report in a timely manner

determine the types of inspection required, e.g. internal, external, on-stream, etc & perform inspection accordance with the inspection plan;

verify that all new materials used during repairs or alterations are consistent with the specifications;

assure that the minimum preheat and post weld heat treatments are performed in accordance with the qualified welding procedures.

authorize any repair or alteration work before the work is started, and designate the hold points that are required;

determine the corrosion rates, remaining life, and next inspection date;

assess preferential weld corrosion of in-service welds and joints;

review and update the inspection and NDE techniques required for each equipment, including the extent and locations of inspection and NDE; Witnessing of all types NDT jobs such as DP/UT/ WFMPI/LFET Radiography etc. to facilitate inspection activities

ensure all NDE results are evaluated and determined to be accepted or rejected, with recommendations to resolve all deficiencies.

review and update the surface cleaning requirements needed for inspection and examinations;

determine the pressure test requirements after alterations or major repairs, i.e., type of test, test medium, test pressure, test gauges, duration, regulatory requirements and forms;

Inspection of incoming raw materials, fabricated structures and piping, Pressure vessels,& Storage Tanks.

Conducting fit up & Weld Visual inspection involving all aspects like material identity, Traceability, dimensional accuracy and ensuring the use of latest revision of approved drawings along with conducting Stage wise inspection carrying as per ITP Responsible for checking alignment/Orientation of pipes as per ISO drawing

Witnessing of destructive testing such as tensile test, impact test, bend test, hardness test, fracture test, etching test which are the entire key factor for the approval of PQR.

Checking the punch listing items as per P & ID and Isometric such as Pipe supports, Valves, Guides, Shoe supports and NDT completion and approving releasing Packages for Hydro-test. Submitting inspection punch list clearing in order to close some categories that will affect the holding over of dossier prior to start commission.

Preparing the Hydro test package as per line Class Designation issued by Engineering Department with priority as per project specification along with preparing the red line (revised) drawings and updating in the Hydro Test Packages. Reviewing Manifold Certificate, Pressure Gauges and Relief Valve during Hydro Test.

Controlling non-conformance reports and undertaking remedial action. Documentation of the all inspections and maintain them updated .Preparation of QC Documents for ISO audits

Discuss with clients and suggest rectifications for various issues occurring in the site.Assure the work is done as per client requirements and according to the referencing standards.Conducting final walk down, discipline walk down along with carrying out in process line with Client Representatives.
