Microsoft Outlook Used for sending and receiving emails

• Find Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer and Microsoft outlook from the all programs menu and open each of the applications

• A folder is a container for files and a method of organising information
• A folder is represented by the following icon:

How are files and folders managed?
• All the files and folders on your computer are managed via an application called Windows Explorer.
• To open windows explorer click on the start menu and click My Computer.
• Demonstration of windows explorer.

Log Off Log Off • Log off is the process of ending a
session with a computer system.
• You need to save any documents before you log off.
• You need to close any applications before you log off .

• Shut down means to terminate all operations
• As you can seen on screen you have a log off screen therefore operations are still running on your computer. To completely terminate all operations the computer needs to be shut down.
• Demonstration of shut down
• Everyone shut down their computer
